Today was a nice day :)
Since I am going to be in Germany for Nick's birthday (June 9) I wanted to do something for him like to pre-celebrate his birthday. I told him I would tell him what we were doing yesterday so it would kind of be a little surprising. I took him snorkeling in Key Largo at the John Pennekamp Coral Reef. We got up and headed out at 7am so we could be there by 8:30 cuz our boat left at 9. The weather report said it was going to be thunderstorms and whatnot but it was really clear and sunny out. We swam around and saw a bunch of fish. Nick kept saying he wanted to see a shark and finally, I see him point and shout "SHAAAAARK!" through his snorkel. I almost had a panic attack and had a vision of my leg being chewed off. I swam in the opposite direction. Nick and his "sense of adventure" swam towards the shark and followed it. After I see the shark I saw a barracuda. Not cool. I saw a couple of barracudas. Scary. But yeah, cool experience.
After snorkeling, we rented a kayak and went kayaking. We didn't see much but we did see a couple flip over in their kayak. We helped them pick up their stuff and helped them get back on their kayak. We left Pennekamp after that and ate at the Fish House. It was yummy. I love seafood. Mmmm Mmm. We came back to Miami and I took Nick to Robert is Here to get a shake. When we got to Nick's house we jumped in the pool. It was nice and relaxing. I took a nap after we got out of the pool cuz I had a headache. I am glad I got to spend such a nice day. It was something out of the ordinary and it was fun. The only negatives would have to be the headache I had and that my legs got sunburned in a really REALLY weird way from kayaking (it's like a red stripe down the front of my leg from my knee to my ankle) but the fact that I spent such a nice time with Nick was really worth it.
P.S. I apologize for the fact that this entry looks like a 2nd grader wrote it.
