Now when I reply to a comment there is a "Comment Form"- It tells me that I can use a bubble box to ask where I want to comment from

I'm off to work now, but if you can wait till tonight, I could fix your fic list and send it to your email as a Word document attachment, and then you could just copy/paste it into the HTML panel (not rich-text) of your post.

I think it's the rich text editor that is causing all the woes on LJ -- using the HTML option seems to still work fine.
