reality check
I'm back in Manila after a few days at Candelaria. It was a pretty good Holy Week. Not all of my cousins and family were able to go home, but I had my siblings, my parents and the younger kids around so it was fun. Friday wasn't such a good day for us though, as Lolo had some health problems and we had to take him to the hospital. The prognosis is good, but he's going to be under observation for the next few days, and will be going to Manila for further check-up. I had forgotten all about the program at Casa San Miguel, but it was a good thing that we didn't go, or else no one might have been with Lolo.
My trip yesterday was rather long. Otki, Nuks and I were waiting for the 12:30 aircon bus near the highway. To our surprise, it passed us right on by. Mama told me to wait for the ordinary bus, and I found out later on that the bus didn't stop of any passengers along the way.
From Iba, I waited for a bus to Caloocan. Took me about an hour before I got on one. There was no LRT that day, so I was figuring out what would be the best route home. Mama suggested I switch to a bus to Cubao but when I saw the crowd waiting to get on the bus in Olongapo, I decided to stay put. Got to watch "Step Up 2: The Streets" and "I am Legend" on the bus.
The man next to me chatted with me a bit, but I got sleepy and sort of quieted down and was texting my friends. They told me it was raining in Manila, and I said it was bone dry along Pampanga. Somewhere along NLEX though (Bulacan, I think) it rained really hard, so I worried about getting home. Getting a cab wasn't so hard, but my fare went up to P170+ due to the traffic. Oh well, at least I got home ok.
It was pretty quiet without my brothers. I turned on the electricity, watched a little TV and went to sleep. It's back to work for me today. :)
