Balik UP Baguio: Manang Mane
U.P. Baguio may not have a big campus or a huge student population compared to U.P. Diliman or U.P. Manila, but we do have Manang Mane, someone who is as revered and respected as any professor or old building in any U.P. campus.

Eugene Pineda, the EIC of Outcrop when I joined, asked me to draw something for our "Silent Heroes" article, which features personalities around UPB who were not teachers/profs. I came up with a triad of sorts: A man with a monkey wrench, a woman with books, and another with a broom. All of them have no distinguishing facial features like eyes, and their mouths are covered with a handkerchief. I think the Manang Mani article was where it was first used.
