Segue to 2008
We celebrated the new year with Tita Rose, Karla and Tito Del in Marikina. The neighbors went all out with their fireworks display. We couldn't decide where to look. I ended up being really dizzy because I'd look up and see one display, then someone else would point out another, and another, and so on. One resident along their street in particular treated us to a really extravagant show that made us all grateful for him. It was big enough to rival the shows some places like malls and theme parks (local ones anyway). It was really amazing.
Took a few videos and some pictures, but I somehow missed out on taking a family picture :p The picture of Mama and Papa was blurry, so eto nalang.

For new year's day, we went to Tita Ruth's place for what is typically a traditional new year-slash-birthday celebration for her. It was mostly the immediate family: The Davids, us, the Bañares' and the Guillermos (Tita Ruth's in-laws). This year we also had some relvatives from the Bañares side, Tita Biliday's sister and her family. As always, it was an intimate but very fun gathering, with oodles of gourmet food. My contribution was Oreo Cheesecake, which would probably lose points for presentation but was a huge success :D (I just forgot to take a picture of it, dang).
For some reason, we never really took pictures. Though I think Miel did every now and then. :)
Didn't take time to reflect the year past, because I know I've done a lot of thinking althroughout the year, I didn't want to as we moved on to 2008. I am very thankful for the year that was, all the blessings, along with the pain that happened. I'm looking forward to 2008.
