It's raining again. I really don't mind the rain. As a child I would play underneath it, whether I'm here in Manila or in the province. As I grew older, I became aware of storms, typhoons and hurricanes and other dangers and inconveniences it can bring.

Still, I like the rain.

What I don't like is the actions and attitudes of the people around me everytime it rains. I commute to and fro work, and without fail, people lose their manners and considerations when it rains.

There's a mad rush to get into the train. People will push others just to get in, leaving no space for those who want to get out. Then they'll crowd in front of the doors, not bothering to move to the middle and not so crowded parts of the train (then again, this is a regular behaviour).

Worse perhaps is the battle for a tricycle in our place. The people do not want to wait for the tricycle line to move forward. Instead, they're willing to walk the distance just to get one. It's irritating. Unless there's a barker who'll shout at the people to wait and call the tricycle, you'll be forced to walk as well. Buti sana kung tuyo yung lalakaran mo, eh hindi. Medyo maputik at baha pa.

I really don't mind the rain. I don't mind much the hassle of having wet pants or shoes because, hey it's just me and no one else. But I do mind the attitudes of the people. I wish they'd learn... because I really don't want to stoop to their level *sigh*

city life, buhay ciudad, commute, my thoughts, weather, wala lang
