Whew. What a busy weekend. I got the chance to blog a bit, but it was too hurried, so I couldn't get into the details. And besides, I was too tired to get into the details, so the pictures will have to tell the story for me. And since there are tons... :)
We left Manila Friday morning. The crew met up at St. Jude's parking lot before 8, and we left around that time. We picked up our facilitator, Sir Julz, his assistant Sir Alf and stopped by Jollibee for something to eat.
We reached Tagaytay in a record time (I swear, the driver of our van had a sort of secret wish to be an F1 driver or something) and in one piece, although there was some, er "issue" with the driver which I'd rather not remember kasi panira siya sa enjoyment namin. Lunch was courtesy of Max's and afterwards, we went straight to the seminar/lectures.
Our first activity was a race of sorts, where we were split into two teams. One person was to guide his/her teammates through different tasks while they were blindfolded. Amp... I think I was the only casualty. My knee hit a concrete column. Yow. Our team didn't win though *hay*
We went to bed around midnight. I woke up early because I had to go to the market and buy ingredients for our lunch. Winston and I were part of the lunch crew, Maya and Ms. Edna for dinner, while Marc was on the breakfast detail. We went our own ways to buy what we needed, keeping within our budget and even witnessing a possible "murder of a helpless kitten".
The day was very hectic. It took us a while to cook lunch because of the lack of utensils and space. Still, it came out ok and everyone liked what we did. Afterwards, we had our "Amazing Race". I even got to dive into the pool --- while wearing t-shirt & jogging pants. Brrr. Again, I was part of the non winning team :( *sniff*
We had guests for dinner, and we had a sort of party atmosphere going on. I think we were all tired that day. Maya, Ms. Edna and I went to sleep as soon as we cleaned up, but the rest hung out and even went swimming. I surfed the internet a bit and went to sleep.
On the last day, I was up early but Ms. Edna beat me to the kitchen. Maya came along a bit later and we pitched in for breakfast. I was moving from the group that was making the collage, to cooking and stuff. After breakfast we had our "closing ceremonies" and weird picture taking. We left a little before 12 nn, had lunch at Carlo's Pizza and headed for Manila.
We stopped by the office to drop off the equipment we brought along. Winston and I stayed until 6 pm.
Back to work the next day. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on Sunday with
Den and Erin. Yahoo!
