Calling all UP Baguio alumnai!
Sayote Republic is now up! Put together by several UP Baguio (or UP College Baguio to most of us) graduates, this site serves as a virtual tambayan for those who lived, breathed and left (or in some cases, didn't) UP Baguio.

I had a grand time looking at
Sayote Republic. The first time I visited (Sunday, I think), there wasn't much stuff up. Today, there were new posts so there were more to read. The latest post is an interview with artist and UP Baguio alumni
Mall Licudine.
Everytime I see the works of a very talented artist, I get depressed, excited and inspired. Excited because, wow! She/he is so good! Inspired because, Wow! She/he is soo good, I want to draw like that! Depressed... because even though I can doodle, I wonder how long before I can reach their caliber. *cry* Well, I just have to grit my teeth and keep on practicing!

Browsing through
Sayote Republic and
joining the UP Baguio Alumnai Yahoogroups made me homesick for Baguio. The last time I went there was last year, when my parents and I went to visit my sister. It was a very quick trip, so I didn't get to go around.
Two Sundays ago I saw a picture of Sir Rolly in the Inquirer. I didn't believe it at first, figuring that it was just a guy who looked like him. Then I took a look at the name of the photographer and read the article... oh yeah, it was Sir Rolly! One of my famorite professors (then again, I loved all of them), and probably the only person I am willing to admit that I get starstruck on.
After that,
Den,
Erin,
Pambie and I started to reminicse and look for pictures of Sir Rolly. We all did our internship with the Bureau, though in different semesters, and we all had stories about Sir Rolly, Sir Jawo and everyone else there. I found these in a old
Philippine Daily Inquirer anniversary magazine.
I have to get back to Baguio before the year ends.
