happy easter

Happy Easter! Kamusta naman ang inyong long weekend?

Mine was ok. Like most times here at home, it's pretty much uneventful. I'll be going to back to Manila tomorrow, and heading straight to the office. Gah. No rest for the weary. Funny thing is, I'm actually looking forward to going back, unlike before where I absolutely dread it (whohoo... miss mo lang yung tablet mo! Hehehe).

Campaign season's up and running, but here in the province, it's not the senatorial bets that are frontlining it. Sure, there are some posters, but mostly you'll see the candidates for the local seats going about, their theme songs playing, their faces plastered on posters and their fliers being passed around. It's quieter for one thing, and there's no media coverage. Any news you'll hear through the grapevine.

Today, I was more active. The family went to Mass first thing in the morning. I did a couple of odd jobs around the house, and found some books to re-read. After a heavy lunch, my sister and I found a brand new mountain bike parked in the garage, so I took that, and she took the other and older mountain bike, and we rode around the town for a bit. Good exercise, especially after the ice cream we ate. We went around again, then when we got back, her godfather took us, his son and Nunik to the beach. It was really great. The waves weren't that big, but there were some that went really high. The sun was hidden by some clouds, so I doubt if I got darker (unlike yesterday when we swam before lunch). We left just as the sun was setting.

Tito Arnel was also in charge of the food for the last two days and wow. I know his wife's the kapampangan but he cooks just as good as she does! The sinigang we had last night was out of this world. Pure sampaloc ang pampaasim. We also had pochero the night before. For tonight's dinner we had inihaw na bangus and uhm... forgot the name of the dish but it's fish as well.

It pains me to think that tomorrow I'll be back to carinderia food soon (no offense to the MECOOP people though ^_^). Oh well, that's the reality we all have to face.

Hope you all enjoyed your vacation as much as I did mine!
