Presea has a
rather interesting post about some of her thoughts and observations. I wanted to comment but as my replies were rather lengthy (for a comment anyway), I decided to make it a post.

My comments:
1. Posted something about that a few years back and kahit ngayon I stand by what I said. ^_^
2. Sa ngayon, wala akong maisip na mas boring. I try to be nice to sikyus kasi dadali buhay mo sa pag pasok at labas ng building ehehe.
3. Dunno. I want to have my own business, kaso takot ako mag risk, at feeling ko wala ako alam. At least pag empleyado ka, sure ka na may pera ka every two weeks. :p
4. Totoo yan. Once na fulfill mo ang isa, eto nanaman ang isa.
5. Pansin mo rin? In my circle of friends isa palang ang kilala ko na ganito, pero when I go out or commute, dami ko nakikita. Maybe it's because mas naiintindihan nila ang isa't isa?
6. Somewhat guilty ako, but I'm trying not to be ^_^
7. Amen. Lately, I"m beginning to feel like my mom especially when it comes to my brothers ^_^ At mas naaapreciate ko yung mga ginagawa nila for me & my sibs. I'm lucky I got great parents and not the f*cked up ones ^_^
8. So true. When I was still with Sykes, I get so irritated with the tax deductions. Para akong pumasok ng dalawang araw at hindi binayaran. And you get irritated with the "no-improvement" situation around you. Hay.
9. My parents are both government workers, and now, so am I. My grandparents were too. My lolo told me that when he was still in position, he had alot of opportunity to grab money kasi grabe daw ang workings ng government. My dad says that too. Kung baga, madaming opportunities. Nasa tao na daw dun if they take advantage of it or leave it alone. Lolo, Papa and Ma left it alone, kaya tag-hirap pa rin kami. And my stint here, I do see alot of honest, hardworking people.
10. Amen to that!

Don't you do that sometimes? Like when you're walking in the mall or commuting alone? I do. I observe the people --- and other things --- around me. Then I make all sorts of comments in my head about them. Sabi ko nga na kung psychic ang mga taong to, I'm most likely going to be beat up, or get alot of angry stares.
Sometimes, you see really funny things. Funny in a nice way, that you know when you see it, you'll also be smiling, even if it you're the one being (unintentionally) funny. Sometimes, it's funny only to me, and after I smile about it, I say a short, "Sorry for laughing at you" even if he/she doesn't really know what I thought.
Sometimes, you see sad things. Like a beggar on the street, or homeless people. Sometimes, you see regular people doing regular things, and sometimes it's really something that will stick to mind.
Often I find myself smiling at the things that I see. And I wonder if the people around me think I'm nuts. Oh well. They can't see what I do, and if I'm the only one who finds something to smile about, then bugger them. :)
Today, two people boarded the train a few stops after I did. The guy was Caucasian, and the girl was Filipina. The were talking in English. The guy seemed to be German or French, based on his accent, while the girl's English was like that of someone who spent time abroad: straight and eloquent. They were talking of travel, and Christmas parties and what other things I really couldn't get. I only heard snippets.
What was fun was, the guy was lamenting the lame Christmas party he attended last night. The girl was trying to point out possible good things about it, and to my surprise, the guy said, "Wala! Wala talaga!" And it was a nice Tagalog accent. Not the Tagalog most foreigners have when they try to speak in Tagalog.
Wala lang, natuwa ako.
So what have you observed today?
