I wonder if I am forcing myself to enjoy this job, or if I am just not cut out for working in the hospitality business when it involves sports. I feel exhausted, tired all the time, and I am not truly enjoying myself while I am there. It's nice to be able to talk to people, to talk to customers and assist their needs as best as I can, but something is missing. I feel that the older employees are easily annoyed by the newer ones, and I am already annoyed with some of the attitudes with them. My co-workers are self absorbed with few exceptions, and it's as though I have to prove myself to quite a few of them.

Perhaps it's the atmosphere that I hate the most. I understand we see a high volume of customers during a game, but everyone is so down and so rushed about everything it bothers me I suppose.

I think if things don't work out with Gamestop this week I'm going to the Tradewinds (again) and submitting my resume with the letter of recommendation I got from Rick.

I am not looking forward to the day. Two of our players (Longoria and Shields) thought it was pathetic that the fans were barely in the stadium the previous day. On Monday there were eleven thousand people in the stadium, and yesterday there were nine thousand. Today? Longoria and Shields bought out I think they said twenty thousand seats? They're giving out the tickets at the gates today for the game. (So if you're in the St. Pete/Tampa area and want to see the Rays play, today is certainly the day to go.)

Here's hoping that things go well. I think I'm going to get some coffee and head to work.
