Cleaning Day!!! So I've been spending the afternoon cleaning house (again). My last cleaning got rid of a bunch of books...now I've moved on to CD's. Most of them I haven't listened to in quite a while or I have additional versions of the songs I like. Here's a list...kinda long.
1. Til Tuesday "Everything's Different Now" Yeah, and it's a pretty bad kind of "different." Sorry Aimee.
2. U2 "Achtung Baby"
3. Violent Femmes "Violent Femmes."
4. Queen "The Miracle." Sorry Freddy, I'm keeping the "Greatest Hits."
5. Mansun "Attack of the Grey Lantern." Only one song on the whole album I like, and haven't heard from them since this album came out.
6. Bjork "Telegram." A collection of remixes. Too bad, as they suck. Leave Bjork alone.
7. Iggy Pop "Brick by Brick." Only one song I like, "Candy."
8. Medicine "Her Highness." Had a cool song in the movie The Crow...but this album sucks.
9. Bernie Krause and Human Remains "Gorillas in the Mix." Odd concept album using animal sounds to make music. Interesting to hear a couple times.
10. Guns N' Roses "Appetite for Destruction." Yeah, once I liked this, but now...well, it's lost the charm it once had.
11. Aimee Mann "Bachelor #2." Sorry Aimee...but this album is too damn depressing and boring. Plus, I can listen to the soundtrack from the movie Magnolia and get some of the same songs.
12. Robert Plant "Zen and Now."
13. Kylie Minogue "Kylie." Bought as a gag. French and Saunders do a parody involving one of her songs, so had to get the CD with the song.
14. Deep Purple "Nobody's Perfect."
15. Sting "The Best of: 1984-1994." You were so much better with The Police.
16. Madonna "I'm Breathless."
17. Madonna "Like a Prayer."
18. Billy Squire "Don't Say No."
19. Primus "Tales from the Punchbowl."
20. Roxette "Look Sharp."
21. Led Zeppelin "Physical Graffiti." Sorry guys, but I haven't listened to this in ages.
22. Aerosmith "Greatest Hits."
23. Aerosmith "Toys in the Attic."
24. Aerosmith "Permanent Vacation." Song I really like by them is "Seasons of Wither" and it's not on any of these.
25. R.E.M. "Out of Time."
26. R.E.M. "Monster."
27. Pretenders "Pretenders." Have the greatest hits album, which I like better.
28. Indigo Girls "Indigo Girls." I like Closer to Fine, but that's about it.
29. 10,000 Maniacs "In My Tribe."
30. 10,000 Maniacs "Blind Man's Zoo." Have the live unplugged cd, which I like better.
31. Heart "Desire Walks On." Yeah, Heart is my fave band, but this album sucks. Sorry Ann and Nancy.
32. Fleetwood Mac "Tango in the Night." I'll stick with the older stuff, thanks.
33. Stone Temple Pilots "La Dee Da." Not as good as others.
34. Soundtrack from "Romeo and Juliet." Only wanted the song by Garbage. Rest of album is "eh."
35. Cyndi Lauper "12 Deady Cyns...and Then Some."
36. Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians "Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars."
37. Deep Purple "Perfect Strangers."
38. Eurythmics "Revenge.
39. Tonic "Lemon Parade."
40. Tonic "Sugar."
41. PJ Harvey "To Bring You My Love." Great album...but just doesn't do anything for me now.
42. Silverchair "Freak Show." Only one song I liked. Only teenagers when they hit big...hope they manage to do more in the future.
43. Lenny Kravits "Are You Gonna Go My Way." Great album, but I'm over it now.
44. The Smiths "Singles." Great music, but way too depressing...can't listen to it now.
45. B-52's "Bouncing off the Satellites."
46. B-52's "Good Stuff."
47. A Dramatization of JRR Tolkein's The Hobbit. I have a better version.
48. Jane Child "Jane Child." One decent pop song...and a song about her vibrator. Not worth keeping.
49. Def Leppard "Pyromania."
Have others I'll probably get rid of as well. Quite happy with the results tho. More room for new stuff.
