一 Here are the promised icons :D Pretty simple, I just cropped them from screencaps and add some color. I don't like using textures or text, so I've been experimenting with colorization. I made them for my own use and because I like messing around with Photoshop, but feel free to take them for LJ, MSN, forums, or whatever. As for crediting, I won't ( Read more... )

Dear Leti,

Pin-pon! I'm not posting that much simply because...my interest in JE is dwindling. Even if H!P is producing singles (that don't really do well in terms of sales), I'm a full-time fan (of H!P). Tohoshinki members claim that they're artists, not idols (and for that I loved them). I eagerly waited for the HS7 vs. Tohoshinki Oricon battle last year, rooted for HS7, and with their success, I lost (YES, "I") Ya-Ya-yah after barely two months. It's not that because this happened that I'm now on Tohoshinki's side, I realized that sales doesn't matter, exposures don't matter and popularity isn't enough to become a gauge for staying power. I read the Ayaya interview on Hello!Online, and she has taken a more serious career path, shedding the idol image which propelled her to stardom years ago. If more people would notice that there are underrated artists around who make good/real music, then, the overrated Oricon would never really be that much of a big deal. As for me ignoring JE (but hey, I DL-ed the latest ARASHI PV's), I'm considering my mental retardation, rapid mood changes, and emotional nature so I can really live without the fandom pressure. I don't hate the boiz, but I don't completely hate the management company. It's the dirty means and their tricks that I'm peeved at, and for that, I'm really disappointed as a person (flicks her fangirl side). I remember one Ya-Ya-yah photoshoot with a title "Heaven or Hell", and I had a very loooong gigglefit because it sounded awkward (not to mention, they weren't wearing any devilish or angelic outfits). In the end, I realized, that if I were on any JE boy's shoes, life must've been hellish when you work your ass off all the way to the top. Sometimes, no matter how potentially sexaaaay and hawt you look, Kitagawa Jyanni, Mary and Julie would rather choose any arrogant, gay-looking guy who's exuding with fraud. That's how hellish and tough it woud be. But if you're lucky enough, you'd get to debut, pose nekkid in an ANAN cover, have a solo single, date gravure idols and feel like a king...that feels like heaven. Ah. The Ya-Ya-yah wound hasn't completely healed when I've gotten rid of their pictures in my computer (backed-up files, yay.)
IDOL LIFE IS A WORLD FULL OF CLICHES. XD
Now I want a thesis about idol life. I'll spare the sordid details, I want a grade of 1 this semester. XD

Dear Hydee,

Pin-pon? ROR. I was looking at H!P's sales few minutes ago, how come v-u-den only sold 10,000 copies per single and HSJ more than 350,000 with their debut single? SHOOckinGUU~

I know about DBSK, I've listened to Purple Line and few more songs, I wasn't disappointed. Their voices are good, try putting four or five Johnnys next to Koda Kumi and prepare for TeH FAIL *imagines Nakai singing with Koda Kumi* Yikes.

Johnnys are the anti-Van Gogh model, they surrender to the power and enjoy all the goodies instantly, when, as you say, there are plenty of better artists out there in the shadows. But they're not purrty and don't wanna become slaves to Johnny.

I read that interview, both Ayaya's and Goto Maki's careers are gonna be interesting from now on :D Maybe Aibon can get a couple of singles too while she works in her acting career (I sooo wanna watch her film + Vaness Wu). And Ayaya's appearance in Music Fighter few months ago was still funny, even if she's not an idol anymore.

And why thousands and thousands of new Jrs? D: We want QUALITY, not uncoordinated, mediocre armies made of pedo. Something's wrong when you have to use your influence to make people accept your ideas. Reminds me of a spoiled kid witch rich parents.

I think I'll be a refugee at the pink side until the dark side recovers its glory. If not, I'll build a pretty pink house in the pink side, with occasional visits to the outskirts of the dark side :D (wtf)

It's a pity that although Rika's voice has improved, v-u-den was disbanded. Their farewell single didn't do well in the charts. I realized too that H!P singles don't have much tie-ups (except for the WaT collaboration for this volleyball event). I haven't seen any H!P song used in a dorama, or H!P girls taking part in doramas (which happens very seldom).
Tohoshinki's Changmin should meet up with Junno, for srs bznz. (Hello there brothers) The Music Station incident might have nothing to do with the Japan vs. Korea thing, but it could only be brought about by the power of Johnny Kitagawa.
Mediocrity seems to be always overlooked, as the issue of overrating continues. I don't actually fangirl the famous members of the units (though I admit they're really irresistible), and I go for the underrated ones because they're forces to be reckoned with. XD The frontmen have the most exposures, they're always pimped and given projects until you get tired of their faces.
I loved JE and its gheiness and I don't say that there was farce or evil in it. As I said in my previous comment, it's the means of getting money, the reflection of selfishness and cruel monopoly using handsome and talented young dudes.
I don't know who runs the company now (LOL, if Tackey would 30 years from now) and who's behind all these changes, but all I can say is TOUGH WEEDS DON'T DIE EASILY. Johnny Kitagawa, just like any other anime villain might go to such lengths as extending his permanence in ways we can't ever imagine. XD

Both Rika and Sayumi's voices have improved a great deal, now they can sing actual lines instead of spoken verses/random shouts without rapping our ears :D Can't say the same about Koharu ó_ô That reminds me of the first time I saw a H!P girl, the film Blue Light, starring Ayaya and Nino. I thought it would be crap (it was the first Nino movie I watched), but their acting surprised me a lot. Ai, Risa and Airi will be in a drama about some singers called Pink--something, don't know much about it :\
Ah, Changmin, the Junno twin :D I also like Yunho or whatever his name is. Don't find Jaejoong (¿?) attractive, though.
Me too, I've always liked the underrated ones :D but I wouldn't say no to Kimutaku, Nagase, Okada or Jun. I like Nino, Yokoo (Wataru), Yoko and Hina better than Yamapi, Ryo and Jin. Well, I should say I don't like Yamapi, Ryo and Jin, I'm weird D:
Like DBZ villains? akjsdhskjd how many episodes did they waste trying to kill Cell? Same goes for Freezer and Boo, at the end it was boooring D: Johnny reminds me of Mr. Burns, but without Smithers. At least he's not as creepy looking as Tsunku, srsly, was it surgery? and have you seen his nekkid photo with a big flower covering his parts? MY EYES D:
