Just finished watching Supernatural - Scarecrow:
Family was a really big theme in this one. An almost hit-you-over-the-head-repeatedly theme. :P
Although I was quite worried about my Dean, turns out he was never really in danger. Sure, it looked pretty bad when he and Emily were tied to the trees in the orchard from hell, but they were never a couple. A man and a woman, yes. But not a couple. Her aunt and uncle were the only ones in that orchard that night in any kind of danger, but they thought they were safe because they weren't a young and pretty couple but an old married couple. It never occurred to them as they stayed to make sure that Dean and Emily didn't escape their fate that the operative word in the sacrificial contract was that a couple was to be sacrificed for the good of the land. Emily and Dean barely knew each other. There were not a couple.
Sam, on the other hand, seems to have been in a great deal of danger with little hitchhiker girl, though no one knew it until the last scene. And I'm pretty damn sure that we'll see Meg again.
Poor Dean is so. very. messed. up. Yum. ;)
