Thank you to everyone who offered up hugs and support regarding my post last night. I love you all. *group hug*

You know what? My brain needs to stop doing this. I'm trying hard to keep this fic down to 30 chapters, and even then it promises to be a good 125,000 words. O_o But chapter 14 (next up in my posting schedule) had an unplanned scene that took the chapter to 6,200 words. And because of how chapter 14 ended, chapter 15 was ENTIRELY new material that appeared nowhere in my outline or notes, but ended up being my favorite chapter of the fic so far and it clocks in at a whopping 7,500 words. But now, because chapter 16 has to deal with the fallout from 15 before it can join back up with the planned material, the first scene of chapter 16 just rounded out at 3,100 words. And it's just the first scene! There's another scene to follow that which is new material, too, before I can go back onto my outline.
So yeah. Chapter 16 is going to be another really long chapter.
Heh. Even with as emo and dark as some of it is, I love this fic.* :P
