Now that I've had a few days to digest, and in spite of the fact that there were things I would have done differently, over all I feel Daybreak was a fitting end to a mostly amazing journey. And I'm not just saying that because OMG! HELO THE ENTIRE AGATHON FAMILY LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVED!!!! *ahem*
Anyway, in no particular order...

9a. Cavil was supposed to be thrown off the Anders' goo bath ledge by Tigh, but Dean Stockwell went to the writers and said Cavil would probably shoot himself.
10a. There will be extended DVD director's cuts of at least the last three eps.
Dude, you have been so missed. You stop by Kindreds yet to see all the cool new toys?

Yay for the directors' cuts. :D *bounce*
And that's good to know about 9a. Given what malana says below, that makes a lot more sense to me.

I had one over-riding concern re the BSG finale and that was that Helo must live! Anything else was an added bonus.
Luckily I got that, so from that criteria I was extremely happy.
As for some of the other things:
-Angel Kara made me laugh and for all the wrong reasons. What a complete waste of a great character.
- It is all God's doing really annoyed me, and I am Catholic. It also took away from the sense that it was Humanity/Cylonity's choice to become better. I hate regilious mumbo-jumbo in shows
Apart from the Helo/Hera/Sharon thing, it was a let down, but ah well, they were never going to go where I wanted, not after bringing Kara back after her "death"
OTOH, Farscape still holds the title of the "Greatest SciFi Show" ever, and that is a masterclass in how to end a series and give everyone what they want.
Oh John!

9a. And Cavil wouldn't want to live as a human, without resurrection technology, either.

WTF was with him eating a bullet???
See, that didn't bug me at all (well, not any more than any of the weird action!action!action! scenes) because I think Cavil just saw it was over and he was dead either way. Yeah, he was very afraid of permanent death, but he's also the guy who once had to cut his throat open because the NC resistance was letting him bleed out and suffer.
I kind of saw it as his last little frak-you moment, that he didn't give them the satisfaction of killing him.
President Lampkin. Just... sigh. SIGH. Someone make the pain in my head go away.
why the frak did the have to take up precious space in the series frakking finale???A futile effort to stop all those K/L fans from throwing their inevitable hissy fit over Kara's ascension? *cough ( ... )
