A very significant deleted Boomer scene...
I found a link to this over at Ragnar Anchorage -- it's from the U.K. DVD release.
The scene is Galactica!Boomer in quarters, practicing with her pistol when she is interrupted by Boxey, pointing the gun at his head and scaring the crap out of the poor kid.

It looks to me like the rest of the scene -- you know, that which was *not* deleted? -- is picked up in the epi as Boomer's first attempt at suicide, the one which was interrupted by the announcement that she was needed for a run.
This goes a long way to explain where that initial suicide attempt came from.
