I feel for both boys here, but Bruce woke up, and that's what's important. It's a good idea to study the wildlife and natural foods on the planet. Both men need a project to keep their minds sharp. :)
I am a little worried about Bruce's leg, because if it's never damage, he's going to be stuck limping, but hopefully it'll heal.
I just know the dreams/hallucinations are important! :)
This fic is an exceptional character study: two people all along (Adam and Steve? *snicker*) in the world and their true characters shining.
Excellent!

I think Bruce has been struck with the need to take stock of every single thing in his surroundings now. And the need to keep them both preoccupied and not thinking about how long they might have to stay there. *snuggles him*
There may be some limping for a while, though. (Don't worry too much. ^_~)
And I plead the fifth amendment about the fever dreams. *whistles innocently* :)
I'm glad you like the character development. We've still got a long way to go, and there are still many challenges ahead for the boys, so there's still a lot to explore. ^_^ I'm having fun with that exploration. I admit I hadn't thought about the biblical connotations, though. :p Too perfect.
Thanks again! :D

Phew! That's a load off! ;)

*snickers* Somehow J'onn and cookies seems appropriate, though I must admit the Joker and watermelons are amusing, too. ;)

This is definitely one of those fics you probably planned three or four chapters to write, and then it grew and grew and grew... ;) I'm having that happen to me with a little Steve/Diana fic that is up to twenty pages in my notebook by now. ;)

Yeah, I had only planned on this going 4 or 5 parts, but once the muse took over and I started outlining the chapters, it grew to 16. Then 18. And now possibly 21, since 10 and 11 were supposed to be 1 chapter. *headdesk* :p But I know exactly where and how it has to end - it's just the stuff that happens in those intervening years that keeps demanding to be written. :p

And wow, trying to create an entire taxonomic system from memory? I take care of a paleontology collection and the complexities and changes that crop up in groups of species that have been dead for centuries is impressive! I can only imagine trying to start from scratch without reference books. But Bruce would so try. *g*
Also, methinks those fever dreams all have meanings. Perhaps Bruce has a little meta in him, even if he'd never admit it. *g*
I look forward to the next chapter!

... You take care of a paleontology collection? O_o *twitch* Oh, gods, I'm jealous!! My greatest dream has always been to be a paleontologist. Instead, I'm an out of work Biology teacher. Hmph. Go figure. :p~
Anyway, I figure Clark's got a handle on the classification, with his experience with the Fortress Zoo and a photographic memory, so Bruce won't be too out of his element. :p
The dreams most definitely have meaning of course... But that's for me to know for now. ^_~ Hehe...
Thanks so much!!

As I have learned lately (in the course of preparing a grant), job opportunities for paleontologists are ridiculously bad. You pretty much have to wait for someone to die so that you can take their place...if the position isn't converted into something else. :-(

Of course! *g* The author is the God of their fic. :-)

Yeah, I always kind of knew it would be impossible to find a job in the field, outside of volunteer opportunities. Who would have thought it would be the same in education? *rolls eyes*
I do kind of feel like an evil god in this fic. :p Poor boys. But it's all for the best in the end. ^_~

Bruce is definitely stubborn, but he knows who loves him. :D

Beware when the ramblings become truths.... isn't there some piece of classical literature like that? Hmmm....
This was aloooovely chapter. :D

They could use the hugs, of course. :p

I hope that they kill that evil octopus thing in the pond. I mean...TT.TT It's so scary! It sounds JUST like the evil thing in "The Mist". ...I hope they eat it. HA. TAKE THAT DEMONIC OCTOPUS! >D

The boys are certainly adorable, aren't they? ^_^
I don't think they'll kill all the octopuses in the lake/stream (besides the one they take as a specimen), but they'll certainly know what to look for now. *nods* And who knows, maybe it *could* be tasty! :p
Thanks so much!
