“Things could be worse, you know.”
Daniel blinks at Vala, noting the smirk tugging at her mouth when she turns away from the tiny window to look at him. “How?” he asks, not sure he wants to know the answer. There’s no way this mission could be worse right now, not with so much snow coming down outside the cabin that they likely won’t be able to make it back to the stargate for another three days, their rations starting to run a little low, and not much wood to burn in the little fireplace.
Vala only smirks deeper. “You could be here without the pleasure of my company,” she explains, before shrugging off her coat and starting in on the rest of her clothes, a mischievous gleam in her eyes as she steps toward Daniel and the little bed.
And huh. Daniel supposes that it could be worse. At least they won’t be bored.
