Joker Territory
It had been almost two months since Jay started sleeping with Tim and Dick. No, more than just sleeping with them, since he'd fallen into a relationship with them. He still couldn't believe it. His unbelievable luck. Fate. Karma. Whatever the hell it was. Two months since the Big Wing and the Little Wing finally got him to understand that he wasn't alone in the 'I got screwed over by the Big Bad Bat and all I got was this lousy t-shirt' club. That he wasn't alone in having a skewed view of the world, a view known only to Bat protegés.
They'd forgiven him for everything. The attack at Titan's Tower, the masquerading as Nightwing. The killing. But he still couldn't figure out why. Two months after he somehow earned their forgiveness, he still hadn't told them about The Pit. About the time afterward that he spent with his marbles so jumbled he didn't even know his own name. About the screaming sense of vengeance that Talia had nurtured in him until it burst forth in his brutal attack on the Joker. Not that that wasn't deserved, of course, but still...
He wasn't sure his lovers would believe him, no matter what Bruce's files said about the Lazarus Pit. He was Jason Todd, former Robin and psycho killer Red Hood, wasn't he? But he also didn't know if they would even care at this point, anyway. Would it even matter why he'd done the things he'd done?
Did he even want to look this gift horse in the mouth? The thought of exposing his crazy for his lovers to see made him want to curl in on himself and hide, made his guts twist up in little knots. They didn't need to know how absolutely bat-shit insane he'd been.
But they deserved to know. Deserved to know that he had been completely out of his mind when he did those things. That, because of the same Pit that restored his health, he might as well have been a half-step away from Joker territory, himself.
With that thought cemented firmly in his mind, the image cackling at him in all its psychotic, pancake makeup glory, Jay shifted in the bed he was currently sacked out in with the Little Wing, his hand moving to stroke down the line of the younger man's bare back. Tim mumbled incoherently in his sleep, his face turned away from Jason, and the former Robin shivered involuntarily. At Tim's waist, Jay slipped his hand around to pull his lover more tightly to him, fitting the curves of their bodies together.
"Mmmm... Jay..." Tim sighed in his sleep.
Burying his face in his lover's hair, Jay murmured, his voice choked, "'m sorry, Timmy. Wasn't me did all that. Was the Pit..."
Robin pressed back against him, tensing in his grip for a moment before relaxing again. "...know, Jay, s'okay," he mumbled back. "Dick... back soon. You'll see. ...some sleep. Love you."
Even the memory of being so wacko he might have rivaled the Clown Prince for nut-job of the millennium couldn't keep him from the utter relief Tim's sleep-filled affirmation brought him. Relaxing, himself, he squeezed Tim's waist tighter and breathed in his unique 'Timmy Robin' scent, settling down to wait in drowsing twilight for Dick to get home and add his voice to the youngest's.
Maybe they didn't care so much about Jay having been 'crowbar-crazy' at all.

Robins' Nest
Dick was relieved that patrol had been pretty slow around the city. A bit unusual for New York, but not completely out of the realm of possibility. Slipping in through the window from the fire escape, he let the thoughts of the night's work fall away, their presence no longer necessary as he shed the outside world for the perfect haven he and his Robins had made.
Their nest.
With a smile he couldn't hide, even in the darkness of the apartment, he made his way to the bedroom, stripping off his gloves and uniform top along the way. At the doorway, however, he paused. The sight of his two birds curled against each other made his insides flip with a triple somersault and two half-twists before barely sticking the landing. They were so beautiful, the light of the city pouring over them with a blue glow, skin pale and otherworldly as the two younger men seemed to meld into one another.
So beautiful he had to wonder if he even deserved them, deserved the home they were building together.
After a quick trip to the bathroom and shedding the rest of his uniform, Dick slipped into the bed beside Jay, hand slipping around the middle Robin's waist, the same as Jay's curled around Tim's. He slid his legs along the length of his lover's, luxuriating in the warmth there even as he pressed his chest to Jay's back and his groin into Jay's perfect ass.
A distressed whimper met him, to which he soothed, "Shhh... 'm home, Jay Bird. Go back to sleep."
"...hnnn... Dick... I... Pit... was nutso... forgive me..." Jay's head shifted back on the pillow until Dick's lips brushed over an exposed ear, his cheek resting on dark hair.
"It's okay," he soothed again, knowing instinctively just what the middle Robin was murmuring about. Dick wasn't at all surprised it took Jay this long to tell them. "I've got you, Jay, and I'll snuggle you all night if I need to. I know what happened. And I don't blame you. Shhh..."
With that, he nuzzled into Jay's neck, lipping the soft skin behind his ear. His palm flattened over his lover's chest, feeling the strong rhythm of his heart and the deep, slowing breaths as Jay drifted off again.
He wasn't kidding about the snuggling. If it took all night, every night, for however long, he'd be more than happy to do it. Nothing could beat snuggling his Robins, loving them with soft nuzzles, warm and content in their nest.
