However, the raw courage of her decision there in the second bit? Awe-inspiring. If someone tried to describe this story in a single sentence, they would totally fail, because the power is in the nuances. That she chooses not to report the crime, to set the safety of their world over her personal pain, speaks volumes. Lara is just as determined and strong a woman, in her own way, as her future daughter-in-law.
Also, my future Clark and your Clark can get together for commiserating drinks anytime.

Yeah, I expected it to hurt A LOT. But of course, I rationalize b/c I know Lara will be dead in a year or so, anyway. (which is a horrible way to think, but, ugh, I get into my villains heads too well)
My Kryptonians are less touch-phobic and more neck deep in denial of the very idea of things going this horribly wrong. They don't have the birthing matrices, but sex is very... perfunctory (for both sexes equally), and totally private. They're more like the Victorians, I suppose.
And I'm so glad Lara's strength came through how I intended it. She's tough, and she has a job to do. Of course, it goes back to that state of denial as well (it just doesn't happen, so it DIDN'T happen). And yes, there's a type that the El men love, and Lara and Lois fit the bill. (I think it's one of the reasons that Jason winds up falling for Barbara not too long after Donna breaks up with him :p)
My Clark is buying, and OY, does he ever need to get wasted! XD
Thank you SOOOO much for the awesome review, hon. *smishes* :)
