I know, it's a bit odd. But, I frequent the Smallville fandom more regularly as far as the Superman mytho's goes than anywhere else. Of course, I've seen all the movies and I've read a handful of the comments.

I'm a was a huge Clex shipper back in the day and Michael Rosenbaum's Lex Luthor is pretty much the reason I started watching the show and Lois is the reason I stayed. lol. Me either, as far as the angst goes. I'm just happy they're finally going there with Clark and Lois. Yes. THIS. :)

Eh, I'm not. I just hope that it turns out really good. I'm trying to put together a different sort of tracklisting for Clark/Lois than the norm and not use so many of the songs that's commonly used.

Like there's probably going to be some National on there, along with some Florence + The Machine since these days it seems that I CANNOT make any mix without a little bit of them, as well as some Anberlin, Ryan Adams, Shiny Toy Guns, The New Monarchs, PJ Harvey, Elisa, and Sara Bareille just to name a few. lol.

You sound like me, though. I once had six different fandom santa's going on one year and it nearly killed me, so I decided that I needed to just cull it back to at least one or two and put a lot of effort into making sure those gifts turn out really well. Because, making six different mixes in the span of two months, nearly freaking killed me. lol. Seriously. And I can tell you, none of them were half as good or well put together as they'd normally have been. Not in that frame of time, that I was working with.

*snugs back*

And it's off to Christmas shop today... ;)

And I *haven't* been frequenting a lot of SV comms. Heh. XD I'm more of an SR/Reeveverse kinda gal, but it's good to keep a foot in various Super-verse fandoms. :p Never was a big Clex shipper myself, but that's mostly b/c I didn't get my heavy-duty slash goggles until long after the rift. But the Clois--YES. ^____^

And WOWSA, I can't imagine doing that many mixes in a month's time. O_O This was only my second mix, including my yet-unposted Dean Winchester/Jason Todd mix, that's got about 50 songs, and fic to go with it. It's definitely not easy to get right! Especially since my genre tastes are a little limited. I don't even know a single group that you mentioned there. *is old* :p

I'm a fan of Reeveverse, but I think I'm more LnC: TNAOS and Smallville since that's what I've kinda grown up watching. If you had told me five or six seasons ago that we'd have a decade of Smallville, I would have sent you off in the nearest direction in search of a padded cell. lol.

I remember Clark/Lex being my first big ship (second only to Lex/Lana which hadn't happened yet at that present time) on the show. I never was a Clark/Lana or Chlark shipper or Chlois theorist myself. Thing I hate most, is the way the show handled the Clark/Lex friendship. It held the potential to be "the stuff of legends" and then the rift came and they used Lana as a big part of the reason it happened.

I wish it had had more to do with the mytho's, instead of a girl even if she was half of one of my major otp's at the time. It just sort of seemed to cheapen the story and hurt Lex, Clark, and Lana all at the same time - but mainly Lex as he was and will always remain my favorite character from the show with Lois as a close second.

BUT YES, WITH THE CLOIS! ♥

Mixes for me, are like a piece of my soul that I'm doling out to people. I know that may seem crazy to you, but I LOVE music and it's pretty much the soundtrack of my life and the air that I breathe. I couldn't sing a note or write a song, but I know good music when I hear it. So, I love taking on the task of going through all of my music files and picking songs out that I think are good identifiers with this character or that ship. But, like I said, it takes me a long time to put them together. I don't just hastily grab the first song I go to. There's a process I go through and I have theme's and what not. Plus, I want the music to flow really well, and for a specific tone to be set.

Oh, but wow. I kinda can't wait to see that un-posted Dean/Jason Todd mix with musical accompaniments. Heh. I'm sure that it's amazing. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind seeing something like that put together for Clark/Lois down through all the 'verses of them (including all incarnations) right up to Smallville and what could become of them in the future for other mediums. But, I'm sure that would be a task and a half. Heh.

Well, when I post it, you'll have to download and give a listen to it. I love discovering new music and new artists that I haven't heard before. It's fun. :)

I did love L&C when it was on, but never really got into the fandom, even when SR dragged me into the larger world. Though, the Martha & Jonathan from that 'verse are my absolute favorite versions of the character, and I'm planning to use them in an upcoming long-fic multiverse crossover. ^_~ And I LOVED Teri Hatcher as Lois. :)

Regarding Lana, I just sort of ignore that she ever existed on the show. :p Definitely was not a fan, and WOW, she managed to screw up a lot of things before she finally left. (And that's just sad, b/c I LOVE the traditional comics/Reeveverse Lana).

My own mix process so far has been to go straight through my iTunes library and pick out everything that looks even remotely like it might fit, then start listening and reading lyrics, and weeding out as I go. I've also gone to search for music lyrics that might fit, and see what comes up. Have found several goodies that way, and discovered new artists I'd never heard of. :p

Mainly, thought, I'm still a little stuck in the genres I grew up listening to: late 80's/early 90's metal, hard rock, pop. Hence the Bon Jovi and Warrant on this mix. :p I figure Lois would appreciate those artists, anyway, and I KNOW my style fits Dean's, so the Dean/Jason mix was WAY easy.

Will definitely give your mix a listen when you post it!

*hugs*

You're kidding me?! For four years, I lived and breathed LnC like it was the very air that I needed to sustain life. rotfl. Smallville, on the other hand, was the show that I kept on watching because I liked the abuse. Heh.

Don't get me wrong, I have world's of love for the Martha and Jonathan Kent of LnC, but I think my favorite version of them will always be Smallville's. But Teri Hatcher as Lois, was my favorite version of Lois until Erica Durance came along and sort of took over that title. lol. I love the cameo appearance that she (Teri) made this season as Lois's mom.

Aw, I actually liked Lana. In fact, she was one of my favorite character's. I realize that will probably drop my cool points for having admitted that, but I feel like in a lot of ways the show did a big dis-serivce to her as well as KK by handing her crap storylines or trying to make it seem as if she was perfect when she wasn't. Plus, I hated how they had Clark mooning and pining over her for 8 freaking years. Ugh.

But, her and Lex, oh yes. I really wanted them to team up and kinda be evil together. That would have been lots of fun, I think. Plus, I think I liked the person that she was with him, better.

(And I love comics and Reeveverse Lana as well, myself. But, I think my love for Kristien Kreuk won out over anything else and made me love Lana as much as I did.)

Haha, I used to do it that way, but with the way ridiculous rate that my catalog of music was growing, it became TOO MUCH and I had to figure another way. lol. So, like you, I'll look up lyrics and take notes down regarding various bands and artists that I normally wouldn't know about just to see if there's something in there that might work. Plus, I got into wanting them to be themed, wanting a certain feel or overall tone for the mix, and have a concise beginning, middle, and end. Yeah, I are anal. lol.

Hey, I like that genre of music, which is why I LOVED the fact that you included Warrant on there and Bon Jovi. I think I scared my neighbors nine counties away and Lois would totally appreciate that. Heh.

Aw, thanks. I hope you like it. :)

I guess I was always more of a movieverse gal, myself.

And to each their own. I *DO* fully blame the writers for messing up the way things went with Lana.

And hooray for late 80's hair metal! \O/

I love Superman in any verse, pretty much. It doesn't matter to me if it's the comics, the movies, or a television show. *g*

It's because I feel like the writer's were at so much fault for the way things went with Lana, that I don't necessarily pin down all of the blame on her. KK could only do her best to work with the material that she was given, it wasn't necessarily her fault that most of it stunk to high heaven's. lol.

Yes! :)
