But thanks, hon! I'm glad the last bits really hit the mark. *snuggles Clark*

I'd have liked it better if it had been something Clark would *enjoy*, but that doesn't stop your writing from being fantastic.
I love the last line or two.
I don't know, maybe Clark will get his own back, someday. Brad seems like the kind of guy destined for a trailer, minimum wage, and a rap sheet as long as your arm. The first time he takes a swing at one of his girlfriends, Superman is going to break his arm like a twig.

The way SIII goes, Lana winds up marrying Brad, having a kid with him, and divorcing him because he's a drunken, abusive bastard. He treated Clark like utter dirt in the movie (and in the teen years part of STM). So... yeah, not a nice guy. I haven't seen the movie in a while, actually, but if I recall correctly, Clark DOES get a little revenge. ^_~ Of course, in THIS world, it'd be more than embarrassment, and a little more like hard time.
Thanks so much for reading and commenting without running away, hon! :p

But then, that story wouldn't work with grown-up Clark, either. It's a function of the moment as much as anything.

And yeah, grown up Clark would NEVER be quite that naive, thank goodness!

I hope your fic works out well, too. :)

Your characterization is always brilliant. And the last two paragraphs are just so heart-achingly perfect. I agree, your Clark muse needs lots of love in the near future. Speaking of which, how do you feel about OT4 collaborations? :D

But I'm so glad you liked these, hon! They sort of poured out in a flash flood of inspiration (always the best kind of fic ^__^).
And YES, OT4!! \O/ I've been thinking about that 'verse, too. Maybe doing something of a different sort of spouse swap for an evening, with Clark/Richard and Lana/Lois, all mingled together either at the beginning or end. ^_~ I'm pretty keen on writing some Clark/Richard soon.
THEN I'll be able to get to some of the Jimmy prompts. ^_~
Headed to bed. So I'll catch you on the flip side! :p

The parents' generation fics were like that for me. I'm all "Huh? What's this? Oh shit, it's pretty good, I'd better write it. *type type type*"
Heheheheheheheheh! I like the idea of the spouse swap with a twist. Hmmm, maybe they're all on vacation somewhere minus the kids? And Clark goes out in the early morning for his daily rounds, only to be ambushed by Richard when he returns? (Who can resist Richard, anyway?) Meanwhile, Lois is finding out that the best part of waking up is a redhead in your bed? The slash is your forte, the femslash is mine, and they can all meet back up when both pairs try to snag the hot tub afterward?

I only wish Clark's heat-vision had kicked in and set Brad's curlies on fire.

And wouldn't that have just been hilarious? XD The stench of burning hair is pretty damn gross, but it would have been worth it for Clark to see the look on the jerk's face, though.
