Interesting. Especially after Richard just had an opposite reaction to this same trait a few sentences earlier. Very subtle but very well done foundation laying for who she really belongs with.
I'm glad you picked up on that!! That was definitely *cough*onpurpose*cough*. I tend to go for dichotomies and other opposites a lot with Lois's relationships with Richard and Clark. All for a very good reason. ^_^

Hehe... ah, the heart. What a complex and mysterious thing. ^_~
And interesting chice of word "She didn't bother" A lot of that exchange showed a lot of Lois not bothering. I can sympathize with her wanting to be rid of Luthor, she seems to be ruled by the fear of Jason being discovered. But in doing this she is effectively poisoning her relationship with Richard. Clark fits in better to her newsroom life by fact that while they are talking, he is still inside working while Richard wants to go home. But when Lois read what Richard was saying in his eyes, she made a direct choice to "not bother" and ignore it. She does a lot of mental shakes, pushing things to the side. Maybe it's just she is focusing on the task at hand but there have beena lot of times now where she pushes something aside and ignores it...and while I'm of course pulling for the reveal and a big healthy awesome Superfamily....this character trait of hers is going to bite her in the butt.
Whoa!! O_O I'm not even sure I intended quite that much in there, but yeah, she does have the tendency to push things aside - which pretty much always works to her detriment. It will *definitely* be an important point as we work towards the Reveal. O_O And it will definitely be a deciding factor in how things go with Richard. She does tend to have her head in something else *a lot* in this story, until things really become clear to her. But I guess still being in love with Ka- I mean *him* ^_~ will do that to a person. :p
