Happy Yule!! :D

Dec 21, 2008 16:11

To all those who celebrate, Happy Yule! And likewise, Happy Hannukah!

To the sneaky Santa who gifted me with a virtual Yule Log, THANK YOU!!! ^_^

I just got a new Net10 cell phone, that I'm waiting for the service to be connected to, so I'll send PMs to those of you that will need my new # when it's available. :)

*hugs to all*

holiday: yule

It is, indeed! :D

But yeah, that's the East Coast for ya. We had ice last night here, and though it made for a beautiful sight on all the trees and whatnot, it managed to not stick to the roads, and by noon I almost didn't feel like wearing my coat anymore. Craziness. :p

Mostly, we celebrate it the same as secular Christmas, with gifts and the tree and whatnot (since most Pagans seem to come from a Christian background, and most of the trappings came from ancient British Pagan traditions anyway), but many Pagans also hold group or solitary ritual, welcoming the sun back, since it's the shortest day of the year, and the days get longer from there.

Hubby and I usually exchange 1 gift on Yule, and save the rest for Xmas. :)

I'd like your number, dear. And I know nothing about Yule log, except that I wanted to burn one this year and didn't.

Sending you a PM. It's finally activated! XD

We didn't really do much for Yule, besides getting me a new phone, and B a new camera, and watching the latest Stargate DVD. :p

*waggles eyebrows* I was thinking about lighting a fire, but since I just got the 12 Days fic done, mebbe not. Maybe for Christmas Eve we'll burn something.

Ah yes, multireligious families: giving you many many more reasons for the season.
