i'm bored and i have a story i'd like to share:
over thanksgiving break there was a theft in the 711 n. congress house. i arrived back home on sunday night to find my LAPTOP, george forman grill and "elf" dvd missing. needless to say, i was PISSED. the only one in the house over break was my roomie, steve and his friend, stewart. so i flip out on steve then call the police and file a report. next morning, steve realizes that his credit card is missing. as time went on, signs were leaning more and more towards this stewart kid as being the theif. so steve checks up on the card and sure enough, someone tried using it at an atm at 4:20 a.m. thanksgiving morning. so he then files a police report and requests that they view the tapes to see exactly who got off with our stuff.
a few days later...
steve decides to call stewart and let him know exactly what's going on and that when we see the tape we'll know who it was. stewart confessed. and his skank ass girlfriend who both picked him up from my house with the stolen items, and drove him the the atm where he tried using steve's credit card was to drop off everything he took from the house.
so this morning...
the gf, marisa, brings everything over. this is how it all went down:
-she pulls in the driveway
-i call the cops to let them know she's at the house
-steve, stacy and i open the door and stare
-marisa - "uhh, this is what stewart gave me to give back."
-i look in the bag and say, "you stole my fucking clothes?!"
-a nervous marisa - "i didn't steal shit"
-me - "where's my george forman grill?"
-marisa - "i don't know it's all he gave me"
-looong stare
-me - "get the FUCK out of MY house"
so she left, the cops came, we filed a report and i'm pressing charges for larceny and possibly breaking and entering because my bedroom door was locked. oh, and the best part of all, this is a list of the items returned:
-laptop with lock still connected
-"elf" dvd
-my victoria secret UNDERWEAR
-roomie emily's bra
-roomie jen's FIVE shirts and two gift cards
no georgie grill, no cash from steve's wallet and no steve's credit card.
all i really care about is my laptop and getting that fucker in the deepest shit possible. so here's my question for anyone who bothered to read through all of this:
stewart is on scholarship to play hockey here in the u.s. and he's from canada. will a felony get him booted out of the states? what happens when charged with a felony?
just curious, that's all. :)
