They met at a party…
It was one of that suit-clad, polite-smile, boring parties. He never made a secret out of how much he wasn’t a social person. He rather stayed at home with his computer and video games. But today - as many other times before as well - his father forced him to attend this party. It was a birthday party to a business partner’s son or something… And what made things even worse that Jun, his best friend, wasn’t there. He was in Paris at the moment, participating in a fashion show or only God knows what; he really couldn’t follow it since he wasn’t actually that interested in the topic to pay enough attention to it.
In short, he was bored out of his mind. He walked around the dinning hall with his second glass of Champaign in hand when he spotted him.
He sat at one of the tables in the corner of the hall, absent mindedly doodling on a piece of napkin. Even he wore an expensive suit like everyone else, with his round, sleepy face and spiky hair he stuck out the crowd a mile.
“You’re not really a party-man, are you?” he asked standing in front of him.
“You can say that about yourself too…” the drawing man mumbled back without looking up.
“Why do you think that?” he asked drowning the rest of his Champaign then putting the empty glass down.
“Cause you’re here talking to me, instead of making all the ladies over there swooning to your feet…” came the mumbled reply - retort.
He raised an eyebrow then putting his hands on the tale he leant down, closer to the other man.
“What if I prefer boys swooning to my feet?” he asked whispering on a seductive tone.
The other stopped drawing and kept staring on the table for a while. It was hard to tell that he was debating his answer or just simply spaced out…
“I’m sure you still can find a bunch of volunteers in the ballroom that way too…”
The man standing over him snorted. The other was either really dense or he just really wanted him to fuck off. Or both…
Either was the truth, he still decided to stick around. Anyway he did prefer men, and he was cute enough to his taste…
He sat down opposite him, and stared at him, probing his chin in his palm.
“I’m Ninomiya Kazunari. But everyone calls me Nino…” he said introducing himself.
The other man finally looked up, blinking at Nino a few times. It was hard to tell from his round, unreadable face but Nino would bet he was surprised. Then without saying anything, still staring at him, the man reached for another, clean napkin and turned back doodling on that.
“Ohno Satoshi…” he mumbled after a while.
Nino jerked up slightly at his voice.
“So it’s your party then… Happy birthday, by the way… I doubted I’ll be able to say it to the birthday-boy personally… But if it’s your party, shouldn’t you be over there with your guests?” Nino asked.
“On my birthday I should be able to do whatever I want…” the slightly annoyed reply came immediately. “And since you’re here now, I’m with one of my guests so none can have any complains…” Ohno said stealing a glance from Nino.
Nino smiled back at him honestly amused.
“You can be pretty sharp if you wanna be, don’t you?” he asked.
But Ohno just shrugged this time and once again went back to his drawing.
Nino watched him in silence for a while.
“What is it you’d prefer to do then?” he asked. “Since it’s obviously not that…” he added referring to the party.
Before Ohno could say a thing an older man appeared next to them.
“I’m sorry to bother, Kazunari bocchan, but your father’s looking for you to go home…”
“Just great timing…” Nino mumbled pouting. “Got it, I’m coming…” he said getting up. “Well, this was fun, Ohno-san” he said and headed out…
“Wait, Nino!”
The man turned back, he was about to get in the car when Ohno’s voice reached him.
“Here…” the birthday-boy panted and tucked something into Nino’s chest-pocket. “Thanks for your company tonight…” he said and walked back the mansion, heading up straight to his room. He saw no meaning in staying at his party anymore…
Since his father was sitting right next to him, Nino had to wait till they got home and he could reach the privacy of his room to check out what Ohno gave him. During the whole car-ride he felt as it’s burning his pocket like fire. He usually didn’t get himself worked up this easily but he had to admit that Ohno was different…
As soon as his room’s door was closed behind him he grabbed the small piece of paper - wait, was that a napkin? - from his pocket. And his mouth hung open…
Ohno draw his portrait on the napkin - a pretty good one on top of that - with his phone number scribbled on the bottom. A grin crept on his face and immediately reached for his phone.
“Whaddisit?” a sleepy voice asked.
“Don’t tell me you were sleeping already!” Nino said amused.
“Nino?” Ohno asked back surprised.
“Unless you give your number anyone who comes across your way it can be just me, can’t it?...” Nino said when Ohno’s voice suddenly cried in:
“I was not…” he complained when the meaning of Nino’s previous words sunk in.
“You totally were, so don’t even try to deny!” Nino teased laughing at his rather slow reaction. “So what is it?”
“What is what?” Ohno asked back confused and Nino would give anything to see his face at the moment.
“You didn’t answer my question I asked before I had to leave…” Nino explained as if he’d talk to a five-year-old.
“Eh…” Ohno sounded troubled; either with remembering Nino’s question or coming up with an answer to it; Nino could not know.
“You’re having lunch with me tomorrow. I’m picking you up from home at 1 P.M. Unless you have other plans, you can answer me then…” Nino said boldly.
For a long time no answer came from Ohno. Nino started to think he offended him or the other man just fell back asleep on him…
“Okay” Ohno said finally.
“Great! See you tomorrow then, Oh-chan!” Nino chirped happily then hung up…
“Good morning, Oh-chan!” Nino grinned at the older man from his cabrio sports car.
“It’s not morning, it passed noon already…” Ohno mumbled as he got in the passenger seat.
“You still look like someone who woke up just now, Oh-chan…” Nino teased him some more.
“What’s with the ‘Oh-chan’?” the older man asked blushing. “You sound as if I’m a five-year old toddler…” he added with a cute pout.
Nino grinned at him.
“You’re cuter than one!”
“Thank… I guess…” Ohno said, his face still flushed and he kept silent for the rest of the car-ride…
“So what do you want to do if it was up to you?” Nino asked when they sat down at the restaurant’s terrace which he completely booked for them only.
Ohno shrugged and picked on his food.
“Dunno… other stuff?...” he asked back mumbling.
“Other stuff?” Nino echoed. “Well, I’d guess that on my own too, but I was asking what that ‘other stuff’ should be?” Nino asked again; staring at Ohno hard.
The older man just shrugged again.
“Mattaku…”
Nino sighed not actually annoyed and leaning back in his seat he watched Ohno eating. Despite his rather passive nature, he seemed pretty happy while eating. Chuckling silently Nino slipped his hand in his pocket pulling out the napkin that Ohno gave him the day before.
“What about drawing?” he asked looking back up.
The fork in Ohno’s hand stopped half-way the plate and his mouth while he seemed to think hard on the idea.
“Drawing is good” he said finally.
Nino rolled his eyes.
“So is fishing…” Ohno added. “Or a bakery!” Ohno added with a sudden rush of enthusiasm in his voice.
Nino chuckled again.
“See? There is stuff you want to do if you think about it!” Nino praised laughing.
Ohno stared at him with wide eyes.
“Are you mocking me now?”
“I would never dare mocking an old man!” Nino defended himself grinning.
“Yes, you do!” Ohno protested pouting but Nino just chuckled at him as he picked his fork up to eat something too.
Ohno sighed.
“I just want to be a common boy…” he mumbled into his food, not actually caring either Nino catches his words or not…
After this Nino and Ohno met on a daily basis. Not even a month passed and they were practically glued to each other’s side…
“Sato-chan! Hisashiburi!”
“Aiba-chan! What are you doing here?” Ohno looked smiling at the taller man who was bouncing into his room.
“I missed you! You never talk to me recently…” Aiba pouted cutely yet he draped his arms around Ohno’s neck hugging his tightly.
“Gomen, Satoshi-kun, I told him you must be busy but you know Masaki… Once he made up his mind…” Sho said with a fond, apologetic smile. It was kind of his duty to apologize for his fiancé’s behavior.
“It’s okay, Sho-kun. You two are my best friends, you know you’re always welcomed here” Ohno said laughing and turned to his other friend once Aiba let him go.
“So what were you so busy with that you couldn’t even spare time to your so called best friends?” Aiba asked sitting on Ohno’s bed, keeping the pout on his lips.
“I had… stuff to take care of…” Ohno said with a faint blush on his cheeks.
The eldest man quickly turned his back to Aiba. The tall man acted silly and clumsy most of the time but Ohno always found it a bit scary how good he actually was at reading people. Aiba’s face suddenly lit up as the Sun. Jumping from the bed he bounced to Ohno.
“Did you meet someone?” he asked with a greedy, curious smile.
Ohno said nothing just tried to turn his back to Aiba again, his face reddening more.
“You did meet someone!” Aiba squealed delighted, turning around to see Ohno’s face. “Where and when did you two meet? How is she? Or he? Tell me, tell me!” Aiba demanded greedily.
“Masaki, stop it!” Sho cut in to stop the question-flood. “You can’t invade Satoshi-kun’s privacy like that. He will tell us when he’s ready and he wants to… Or not…” Sho said shrugging and sat down on the bed looking at his fiancé pointedly.
“But Sho-chan!” Aiba whined cutely running to sit on Sho’s lap. “I wanna knooow!” he locked his arms behind the older man’s neck, rocking back and forth in his lap. “Sho-chaaan! Make Sato-chan to tell meee!” he asked looking at his fiancé with his best, cutest puppy eyes before leaning in to kiss Sho’s neck sensually.
Sho gasped as the younger man’s lips touched his skin. He quickly put his hands on Aiba’s waist pushing him away.
“Masaki, stop it! One: we’re not at home! Two: you can’t blackmail me with sex this time” he lectured the younger man patiently, though it was hard to form coherent sentences while Aiba was humping his crotch. “If Satoshi-kun doesn’t want to talk to you about it, then I don’t think that you humping me would change his mind…”
At the end Sho had to gritting his teeth hard. They weren’t together so long for nothing. The younger man knew his weak spots all too well…
“Mou! Please!” Aiba whined some more.
“Are you finished or should I leave you two alone to have sex here?” Ohno asked loudly to talk down Aiba’s whining and Sho’s grunts.
The couple turned their head to him - to be honest they were too preoccupied with each other that they almost forgot about their friend. Ohno escaped to his art corner - the farthest place in the room from his bed - with his back to them, his hand covering his ears and though they couldn’t see it, they’d bet his eyes were tightly closed as well.
“Gomen, Sato-chan…” Aiba mumbled blushing and climbed off Sho’s lap sitting next to him, his head lowered in embarrassment.
“Gomen, Satoshi-kun. It was really inappropriate from us… Forgive us…” Sho said, his face wan even redder than Aiba’s.
“It’s okay just… Promise you won’t do it anymore” Ohno asked not moving from his position yet.
“Hai, yakusoku!” the couple said in union.
“Okay. So can I turn around now?” Ohno asked.
“Yeah…” Sho said.
“Both of you are fully clothed, right?” he asked again, still unmoving.
“Of course we are!” Aiba said offended.
“Okay then” Ohno said turning back to them, his cheeks burning in pretty pink color.
“Ne, Sato-chan, tell me? Pretty please?” Aiba asked fluttering his eyelashes at his friend.
“But I have one condition!”
“What is it?”
“You never do anything sex-related in my room again. Ever!” Ohno demanded. “I’m sure I’ll have nightmares for months after today…” he added mumbled.
“Nothing? Not even a kiss? A peck on the lips? The cheek?...” Aiba asked.
He just loved PDA too much and it was well-known to all of them in the room.
“Nothing” Ohno confirmed nodding. “If you want to do those things, go home!” he said crossing his arms over his chest.
“Okay, okay, I got it! I won’t do such things!” Aiba promised with a serious face and show how serious face and to show his determination he sat farther from Sho.
His fiancé chuckled at this. Aiba’s determination was cute but they all knew it won’t last long. Aiba never meant any harm but he could hardly keep his promises if that was about him not doing something. It was only matter of time till he simply forgot about his promise…
Ohno sighed. He knew Aiba’s nature just as Sho did. The three of them were childhood friends after all…
“Okay… His name is Nino. We met at my birthday party last month…”
“What’s wrong, Oh-chan?” Nino asked frowning.
The older man looked depressed and he talked even less than usually which meant he barely spoke at all to him since he picked him up. And since this time it was Ohno who indicated their date - Nino liked to call their get-togethers as dates though he wasn’t sure if the older man felt the same way about him - it only made him worry more.
They drove for another hour or so till they arrived to a resting spot by the road with a beautiful sight of the ocean. Ohno didn’t say anything in particular where he wanted to go so Nino decided on this spot on his own. Ohno liked the ocean after all…
“So what is it, Oh-chan?” Nino asked unbuckling his seatbelt to turn toward the older man. “Tell me once we’re here already…”
“Sorry, I didn’t know I’m such a nuance to you…” Ohno mumbled unbuckling his seatbelt as well.
“Not at all!” Nino denied hastily. “I like spending my time with you…” he admitted. “But you seem troubled, I wanna help you…”
“Kiss me then!”
“Eh?” Nino’s eyes widened in surprise.
“If you want to help me, kiss me!” Ohno repeated looking at Nino with determined eyes.
Nino searched his eyes for a while before leant in to kiss Ohno. He had no idea what Ohno’s reason could be for this but the older man seemed desperate and he wanted to help him. Also he wanted to kiss Ohno ever since he first saw him turning those plump lips into his adorable pout...
Nino pulled away slowly after a while.
“Gomen, Nino, I took advantage of you…” Ohno mumbled with closed eyes before turning away from the younger man.
“I don’t feel like taken advantage of…” Nino shot back cheekily, trying to loosen up the mood but it didn’t work on Ohno this time.
“It’s late. Let’s go home…” the older man said without looking at Nino and fastened his seatbelt again.
Sighing, Nino followed his example then pulled the car back to the road…
“Hey, Nino!”
“Jun!” Nino immediately paused his game when he heard his best friend’s voice on the other end of the line. “You know, it’s really honorable you cal me finally. You came home three fucking weeks ago! I thought I was your best friend!” he complained brattily.
Jun laughed at him.
“Gomen, gomen, I was busy ever since I got back. But I brought you souvenirs…” he said to reconcile his friend.
“You better brought something good to me!” Nino said warning.
“Well, it’s up to you to decide” the other man said laughing. “But I’ll drop by someday soon to give it to you…”
“Roger!” Nino said grinning. “So, care to share what made you so busy that you couldn’t find an opening for me in your oh, so busy schedule?”
“Nino, I’m getting married…”
“What?!” Nino shrieked jumping from his couch at the news. “Why didn’t I hear about this so far? Hell, why didn’t I know that you have someone at all? Aren’t I your best friend?” Nino brought the topic back.
“Hey, hey, Nino, calm down!” Jun tried to shout over Nino’s rambling. “It’s nothing like that. Mother arranged it for me while I was in Europe. I heard about it first time when I got off the plane…”
“Oh, well… then… Did you meet them already? Your new fiancé…” Nino asked.
“I did” Jun confirmed. “He’s the son of a trade company owner. He’s kinda cute…” Jun said on a softer, almost dreamy tone.
“You’re falling for him already?” Nino asked slightly unbelievable.
“I think I do” Jun admitted and Nino would bet his friend was blushing.
“After the…? Forget it, I said nothing!” Nino backed down quickly. Who was he to judge Jun? He was falling for Ohno after their first encounter too… “Ehmm… anyway, congratulations! I hope you introduce your new fiancé to me before the wedding…” he said finally.
“Sure” Jun said laughing. “Now, tell me how did you spend your time, best friend?”
“Well, I…” Nino started when his door opened.
“Sumimasen, bocchan! Your father is calling for you” his butler said bowing his head.
Nino rolled his eyes.
“Sorry, Jun, I have to go. Father’s calling…” he told to his friend.
“Okay. I’ll call you later then…” his friend said.
“Just don’t wait another month for it!” Nino reminded laughing before said goodbye and hang up…
“Okay, Oh-chan, tell me finally what’s up with you?” Nino asked.
If he wanted to be honest, he started to get frustrated. Ohno did the same thing in the past two weeks. He called Nino to meet up, sounding distressed but every time when Nino got there, he told him nothing.
Ohno stared into nothing and kept silent. But it couldn’t hide the troubled expression on his face. Nino didn’t even try to make a secret out of how much he was worried for him. He stomped over to the older man who was currently sitting on the stool in his room’s art corner. By now Ohno didn’t even pretended anymore that he was working on the picture he was painting like he did when Nino arrived an hour ago.
“Tell me, please!” Nino asked softly cupping Ohno’s face between his palms to force the older man looking at him.
Ohno closed his eyes slowly and took a shaky breath.
“I can’t stand it anymore, Kazunari…” he breathed out silently. “Being father’s puppet… Always doing what he orders… I can’t… What he asks now…”
Nino frowned.
“What does he want from you?” he asked.
“He said…” Ohno started slowly, obviously reluctant to say it out loud; whatever it was.
A knock came from the door before Ohno’s butler entered.
“Satoshi bocchan! The car’s ready for you” the men announced politely.
Nino already let go of Ohno’s face and stepped back when he heard the first knock.
“I’ll be there in a minute…” Ohno said dutifully but obviously unhappy.
The butler bowed and retreated from the room.
“Gomen, Nino” Ohno mumbled getting up from his seat.
“It’s okay, I should go anyway” Nino said; he caught up with the older man and taking his hand, tiptoed to kiss his pouty lips chastely. “Everything will be alright… I’m here for you anytime you need me” he said reassuring the older man before leaving…
Ohno pushed the food around on his plate silently picking on it from time to time but he did that rather reluctantly.
“What’s wrong, Satoshi-kun? Does the food not suit your taste?” Jun asked concerned, watching the older man’s every move with hawk-eye.
“No! It’s really tasty… I’m just… not that hungry, I guess…” Ohno mumbled avoiding Jun’s eyes.
“Do I make you feel uncomfortable?” Jun asked suddenly after a long silence. “Just tell me what I’m doing wrong and I’ll stop. This marriage between us might be an arranged thing but I really care about you, Satoshi-kun. I want this to work between us…” the taller man said seriously.
Ohno remained silent. If he was uncomfortable till that, Jun’s words just make everything worse. If Jun would be a rude man!
“Satoshi-kun?” Jun asked again on a slightly insisting tone.
Ohno sighed softly.
“It has nothing to do with you, Jun-san. I’m sorry I make you worry…” he said politely bowing his head.
Jun suppressed his sigh. He knew it needs time but somehow it hurt how distant the older man acted.
‘He just needs more time… We need to know each other better…’ he tried to comfort himself.
“Alright then. Don’t push it too much…” he said smiling at the older man gently.
Ohno nodded silently.
“Oh, before I forget! My best friend wants to know you. I thought we can have dinner with him the next week… if that’s okay with you…”
The older man nodded again obediently.
Jun had to force himself to keep from sighing again. Their conversations really not proving; not at all… He was talking all the time while the other kept silent. He could be happy to get a nod or a few words from him during their time together.
“If you don’t mind, I’d wanna go home…” Ohno mumbled silently.
Jun nodded.
“I drive you home then. Come on, Satoshi-kun!”
He boldly took the shorter man’s hand, leading him out the restaurant. Ohno stared at their hands blankly and unconsciously compared how different it felt when Nino held his hand earlier even for that short time…
“You really made me curious, Jun-tan!” Nino said smirking. “Hiding your fiancé for such a long time…!”
Nino gave his car-key to the boy to park it then walked to his best friend who was waiting for him at the restaurant’s entrance.
“I won’t apologize for that. He’s just too cute to be stared at all the time” Jun smirked back at Nino before they turned to the door. “By the way, his friends joined too, hope you don't mind them. Let’s go, they’re waiting already…”
“No problem! I can’t wait to meet him!” Nino said honestly curious about the man who stole Jun’s heart with only a glance…
But he didn’t expect what was waiting behind the door of the private room…
Jun opened the door and Nino immediately caught a glimpse of the men waiting inside. Two of them sat next to each other facing the door, their hands laid on the table, fingers entwined; Nino assumed they’re the friends Jun mentioned. But it wasn’t what shocked Nino. He only saw the profile of the third man in there but that was enough. He went pale in a heartbeat.
Grabbing Jun’s elbow he pulled his friend back, the door closing it shut again.
“What’s with you, Nino?” Jun looked at him frowning.
“Ehm… I…” Nino bit his bottom lip. “I don’t feel well… I think it’s better if I’m going home now… Gomen, Jun-tan!” Nino rushed through the words before turning on his heel, he sprinted out the restaurant.
His head swirling with this new discovery…
‘How? Ohno is Jun’s fiancé? Why?’
After the shocking discovery Nino avoided Jun and Ohno as well. First because he was shocked and hurt - though arranged marriages weren’t rare in families like theirs - then because he thought that was the proper thing to do. His best friend was going to marry Ohno… and Jun sounded really happy and really in love when he talked about Ohno… He rather suffered himself then causing pain to his childhood friend. And he was sure Ohno will start liking Jun too in time; he’ll take care of him and pamper him for sure…
Nino sighed deeply and kept staring at the ceiling. He lost counted how many times he went through that train of thoughts to ensure himself that’s the right thing to do…
The skinny man groaned loudly when he heard the knock on his door.
“Go away!” he shouted rolling on his stomach to burry his face into his pillow.
Despite his dismissive words the door was opened.
“You’re mean, Kazu… You don’t answer my calls and messages and you’d even dismiss me just now…”
Nino froze at Ohno’s voice but then he quickly grabbed himself and sat up.
“Sorry, I was busy…” he said indifferently getting off his bed.
“Busy avoiding me!” Ohno accused.
Again Nino froze for a second. Since when did Ohno become this straight-forward? Speaking his mind instead of wrapping himself in silence as he did always?
“How are your wedding preparations?” the skinny man asked leaving Ohno’s complaint unanswered.
“I don’t want to talk about that…” Ohno said crossing his arm over his chest pouting. “Told you I don’t want that at all… I thought you’d understand me…” he finished mumbling.
“I do” Nino admitted looking at the older man with unreadable face. “But it’s not me who should do anything about that…” he said seriously.
Ohno didn’t reply at that.
“Besides, I’m sure Jun will take care of you…” he added.
“Jun?... How do you…?” Ohno asked frowning. “Oh! You’re his friend…” he said shocked.
Again Nino left his words unanswered.
“Why…?” Ohno wanted to ask but Nino cut in his words.
“Cause I could've not seen the two of you together!” Nino snapped. He really didn’t plan giving away himself but he lost his patience…
Both men stared at each other with equally shocked expression on their faces.
“I see… I’m going now…” Ohno mumbled awkwardly before turning on his heels, leaving the room as fast as he could…
“Idiot!” Nino groaned loudly falling back on the bed.
He really didn’t want to hurt Ohno but… well, he was an idiot, as simple as that… But before he could slip deeper in self-pity, his phone rang.
“Oh, great! What I just needed…” he mumbled cynically but answered the call nevertheless. “Moshi-moshi? What’s up?”
“I feel really honored you finally answer your phone!” Jun’s voice snapped at him. “What was wrong with you? If you didn’t want to come, you should’ve just told me before! Not… running away like a… spoiled brat!... But I guess you just can’t act any other way…” Jun finished his little scolding speech with a resigned sigh.
“I’m sorry, Jun, really…” Nino said covering his eyes with his free hand. He really was sorry…
“It’s okay…” his friend said on a gently tone. “Care to tell me what was this about? Lately you’re acting weirder than you are usually…”
Nino sighed.
“I met him before… Your… fiancé…” Nino admitted. “At a party that father made me attend to… We… I flirted with him… I’m sorry! It was before you came back from Europe… But it would have been just too weird! I’m sorry!” Nino explained himself and apologized again and again.
“Nino…” Jun started; he didn’t remember hearing his friend in such despair ever.
“I’ve gotta go!” Nino said quickly and hang up…
“Jun-san! Can I talk to you?” Ohno asked the taller man.
They should attend to their official engagement dinner soon but Ohno didn’t want to. In the past days he made his mind up and tried to find a chance to talk to Jun privately.
“What is it, Satoshi-kun?” Jun asked gently but concerned.
“I know it’s not fair with you. You always treated me very kindly and if he happened to meet under different circumstances it might have worked but… now I’ll go down there and call off this marriage!” the older man said firmly.
Jun smiled a little bitterly.
“It’s because of him, right?” he asked.
“Partly” Ohno admitted nodding. “But mostly, it’s because of me…” he added. “I’m really sorry though…”
Jun shook his head slowly.
“It’s funny. You just broke my heart but I can’t even get mad at you…” he mused.
“I’m so sorry…” Ohno repeated again lowering his head.
“No need for that. I can’t make you love me if someone else already has your heart… But if you ever need anything, you know where to find me…”
“Thank you, Jun-san!” Ohno hugged the taller man one last time. “A part of me wishes we met another time…” he mumbled.
“Maybe in our next life, I’ll reach you first” he said joking and it was the first time he could raise a real smile from Ohno even if a slightly sad one…
“Need a lift?”
“Kazu?” Ohno blinked surprised at the younger man who stood leaning to his car in front of the Ohno-mansion. “What are you doing here?”
“Jun called me. I bet your father was furious…”
“He disowned me…” Ohno shrugged and didn’t seem devastated at all.
The skinny guy took Ohno’s hand pulling him in his embrace.
“Forgive me? I’m a jealous, possessive brat but… if you’re okay with it… I really love you, Satoshi…” he murmured into his neck.
Relief flooded Ohno’s heart.
“I love you too, Kazu…” he said smiling. “And I have to thank you”
“Thank me? But what?” Nino asked confused and pulled away to look at him.
“For being who you are. For being my strength”
He raised Nino’s hand kissing into his palm before entwining their fingers, admiring how perfectly they fit each other.
“I love your hands… They’re cute…” the older man mused. “I think I fell for them the second you palmed on my table…” he remembered with a nostalgic smile painting on his sleepy face.
Nino laughed out at this.
“Come on, you love-sick old man!” he pushed Ohno onto the passenger seat then got behind the wheel quickly.
“Where are we going?”
“I know a small town near the sea. I bet we can find a house there for us. Then you can go fishing or open that bakery of yours… You can be whoever you want, common boy…” he winked at him smiling and drove off.
To their new life…
