A/N: the prologue is really short but the other chapters will be longer, I promise!

Prologue: In which past starts haunting…

“Nee, Sho-chan…”
“Hmm…?”
The older boy just hummed to sign he’s paying attention but didn’t look up from the homework he was working on. For a few minutes there was silence in the room, just the bed creaked a bit as the younger squirmed on it.
“Nee… Sho-chan, ore…” the younger started again.
“Naani?” this time Sho turned to him cause he knew that other way he won’t know what the other wants.
The younger boy kneeled on the bed, he held his hand in fist and put them on his thighs worrying his bottom lip.
“Ore wa…” he muttered.
“Kimi wa nani? I won’t know it if you just mumble like this!” Sho scolded him a bit but smiled then pulled his chair next to bed in order to hear better what the other says. “So what’s up?” he asked third time and leant forward putting his hand to the other’s knees both side.
“Ore wa…” the younger looked up with wide, innocent brown eyes and stared at the older boy. “Ore wa Sho-chan ga daisuki!”
Sho started to giggle. The younger boy’s face was shy and determined in the same time and it made him incredibly cute. Even if he didn’t know it…
“Boku mo… Aiba-chan ga daisuki…” Sho said and kissed his cheek.

The alarm clock’s annoying chirping pulled the man out of dreamland. Angry mumbling was heard from somewhere under the sheets then an arm appeared and started to look for the alarm on the nightstand blindly to dissolve the annoying sound. When he finally was able to find the clock and the right button on it, he swept down a few other things from the night stand.
“Okay, okay… I’m up…” he mumbled and really pushed through the sheets to sit up.
“The same dream again…” he said to the empty room though it wasn’t a real dream, it was rather a distant memory. Their last shared moment…
“Oh…”
Now he noticed the mess on the floor. He sighed and climbed out of the bed to pick up the fallen stuff. A book, a few notes, his mobile and the last one is a picture frame. He smiled sadly when looked at the photo under the cracked glass. There was the fifteen year old himself, embracing a younger boy who flashed a peace sign and the brightest smile he ever seen to the camera.
“Gomen, Aiba-chan… I promise, I’ll buy a new frame today…” he said and carefully put back the picture to its place.
He got up from the floor slowly and headed to the bathroom for his morning routine. Shower, brushing teeth, getting dressed, a quick breakfast then heading to the office…
Not an hour later he munched the last piece of convenience store onigiri while stepped out his apartment. (His mother surely gets mad if she would know that he’s eating only this kind of food instead of proper home made food. But it can’t be helped. The last time he tried to cook, he almost burnt down his kitchen so he just gave up trying.)
While he was on his way to the office he still thought about his dream. More than ten years passed since he last saw Aiba. He didn’t understand why these memories haunting him in the last weeks.
Still… he had a feeling that it’s not just a coincidence and he wanted to know the answer why!
