Bill Still Dead, I'm Still Crazy

Aug 03, 2006 14:36

The days keep passing and Bill Freeto is still dead. I'm pretty crazed aboutthe whole thing. The first part of releasing his spirit has begun, for me. Now his Grove has scheduled a ceremony on the 12th of August at 2:00 P.M. at the far edge of the earth,(Bill would love that.) I want to go, but by the time I drive that far, I have no energy to get out of the car. There is a song circle later that night at the OLD Old Town School of Folk Music (909 W. Armitage Ave, Chicago) Which is about half the distance to drive, and I expect to attend that. I can't play an instrument, so I guess I'll bring songs and stories about Bill. Right this second, however, I am completely in knots, freaked out still. I lived, am still living through the AIDS epidemic, but I've known Bill since 1967 or 1968. Oh, Bill, we were the last living commies in Chicago, and thes days all I'm willing to do fort he revolution is make tea and cookies for R & R.
Trains Bookmarked out friendship, I met him when we were out chasing trains, and the thing we did the last time we were together was go out and scope out trains. Both very memorable days. I hold him in my heart, and I'm sorry for bleeding on folks about my sorrow. My posts on Bill will become more lucid as I become more lucid. Look forwad to hearing your stories about Bill: thestephy@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance for sharing your Bill Stories with me. Cheers, Stephy
