The disappearing Saagaadaa

I'm getting smaller all the time, and I guess that was the whole point of the surgery, but I really miss eating regular food. I have been experimenting with food, and having lots of trouble keeping down things that are not pureed. This is a catch as catch can kind of thing, because sometimes I can eat real food, sometimes I can't. I have really good luck with jello and puddings, yogurt, refried beans, semi-soft cheeses, and so on. I have to stick to the protein shakes to get enough protein though, and I have to add iron supplement to them so I can get iron in at all. I hope this sounds more like an explanation than a complaint. I have lost over seventy pounds. I'm still getting used to the new plumbing in my stomach, and I have to keep relearning that everything I eat has to be chewed small enough to pass through an opening the size of a straw. I don't eat so much as nibble now, and it doesn't do at all to let myself get hungry, because whatever I eat then won't get chewed enough. This is an ongoing adventure, with the weight loss being the one really good part.
