I think I'm gonna man up and participate in the J2 Bigbang this year. I mean, I sort of already started this fall as a project for an English class (and in the class only, like, two people had even seen Supernatural and one chick, not in the previous group, even, was involved in fanfiction, so no-one called me on my J2 AU)... So at least I know I have a plot. although, I was pretty sure my instructor was Gay and, being a chick, I figured that I didn't need to disrupt any balances or play with any stereotypes so I never introduced the second J in the piece I submitted to the class.
There's nothing quite like having a roomful of Undergrad English and Poetry Majors workshop/critique your epic gay romance. I actually know that feeling from an English course I took a year ago during the fall semester (so synonymous with nanowrimo, which was bending all my perceptions anyway) where I wrote two totally straight males in an army/combat/magic-type situation for twenty pages and after a few stilted comments in the discussion, one brave classmate came right out and said "so how many people guessed that the two main guys were gay for each other." And then there was discussion. *shudder*
So yeah, no gay right now, though there surely will be because, honestly. But I think I'mma do it.
