Travel Trials Moving to AK
Well, after a little bit of ado, we're back on the road now. My truck broke. We were doing about 65, and I watched the wheel roll right by us. However, Ryn got us off the road safely, we got a tow truck, and after a bit of a wait all set up in a rather nice hotel, we heard a few hours ago that our truck is ready. No major damage was done, just to the rim, bolts, and break shoes, so it shouldn't have taken long. But, our journey to Alaska can resume tomorrow, bright and early. I'd rather enjoyed this town. I have to say, the general populace is quite a far cry from what I'm used to--they're actually *courteous* and *friendly* and...well, nice! Food's been great, too...and we're not lacking for entertainment. I can't help but feel that we lucked out on that one.
