People have the right to choose with whom they associate. However, I have the same right. What do I do, when people who I associate with, choose to associate with those whom I do not choose to associate(for very strong reasons)? And my associations have not had the personal fortitude to come clean with me about their choice of associations, knowing how I feel about these individuals? (also their right, I duly acknowledge.)
However, it would also greatly vindicate my choice to associate with the individuals I have, if they would be forthright with me about their choice of associations.
And please don't say that "it never come up that certain people were 'around again'". It just did.
*shrugs* You may, of course, choose not to be forthright with me. Forthrightness is, however, all I ask (as I do not presume to tell anyone who they may or may not associate with). However, I feel I have the right to ask for honesty from those I consider friends.
My apologies for being vague. I will, if need be, pontificate further as to the two individuals this specifically applies...but not via this venue.
The past can stay past. I just ask for honesty. I have never been anything less, after all.
