What I thought was to be a bang turned out to be a dud

Last game for the AVL

When I sent the email about the details of the last game, A lot of the team members were excited and they said that they were going to go play. Then the day of the game itself, one by one the players started dropping out. Out of the 12 that confirmed, 5 dropped and 2 were no show. We got defaulted and that's not even the worse part of it. The worse part is that we were even the ones who set the date of the rescheduled game. We rescheduled to a date that we were defaulted. So nice!!!

Since the 5 of us were there and the opponents were also there, twice our number even. We just played anyway. More experience for me, the better. I really need to work on my receiving and serving.

My team mate told me that the first import from the opposing team when we played for fun had a crush on me because the way I play volleyball was so cute. Well I did notice that she was sort of impressed with my good plays and was really having fun watching my blunders and lucky plays. Oh well what can I say? I'm still learning. hehehe. I played my heart out on that last game. I was able to do some rolling in that game. It happened during those successful receive when I tossed the ball up in the air; I rolled out of the way to avoid being an obstacle to the next player setting up a play.

First game for the ABL

The result was a loss by one point. Dang it!!!! I didn't play in that game because there were too many Centers, Small Forwards and Power Forwards. 18 players but only 15 could play. So I gladly gave my chance to play and stepped back from the lineup. Then I would hear that only 13 players played in that game. I could have played in that game and the one who got eliminated in the elimination process. Oh well, it's the first game anyway.

Driving 101

My driving is a bit improved according to my dad. There was no sudden stop but I almost bumped into a jeep who was loading passengers in the center of the road. Dex was right. If you're driving a car, you'll really hate public utility vehicles because they think they own the road.

Other work related stuff
  • Deployment on May 17 so I'll go on night shift. Might not be able to drive to Italian 101 next week.
  • Performance review was satisfactory. The evaluation given to me was fair.
  • Boss said I get on-call premium but my payslip doesn't reflect anything. I'll follow up on this issue on Monday.
  • New game to propose. Kinda like football but you use a frisbee as the ball.
  • Club activity on Sunday. Hope she'll be able to make it. We agreed to go together since we both don't know how to get to La Pavilion. She's been absent for three days due to asthma attacks I've heard.
  • Team plan for team building is bowling. Main objective: persuade her to go too.
Other stuff

Recently I've been hooked to the music of Waltz for the Moon in FF8. The more I hear it, the more I like it. Weird... I also have the FMV of Squall and Rinoa's dance and I have a pretty good idea on the steps to dance Waltz for the Moon.
