He's home!!! My Jonathan is *finally* home!! It's so exciting. :) He got back on Thursday. His mom and sister were able to fly in to meet him too. It was quite a day. I'll paste a bit from an email I sent out Thursday evening.
"GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!! Today, well. Technically yesterday, Jonathan FINALLY arrived home. Things ended up working out wonderfully, and Jon's mom and sister were able to fly into KCI on Wednesday evening. I picked them up and we spent Wed evening and Thursday morning being nervous and all that jazz. LOL
The ceremony was originially at 12, but it got pushed back to 2 pm because of delays. It was ... Wow.. We were all ready to see him.. Then they finally started marching in. Amanda, Jon's sister, was the first to spot him. That started the tears I had. Surprisingly, both Julie (jon's mom) and Amanda cried more than me.. And now.. I get a little teary eyed thinking about it.. Anyhow... We listened to the speech, and they finally got released. We rushed into the crowd of ppl going to meet their soldiers. Amanda's good eyes were the first to see him again, and me, Amanda, and Julie just all hugged him at once...
It felt so good just to hug him. It was a long year, but now he's home, and here with me, and.. I am SOOOOOO incredibly happy."
It's been wonderful since he got back. It was a busy and crazy weekend. We dropped Julie and Amanda off at the airport yesterday morning. Then Jon and I stopped to do some shopping on the way back. He's finally almost settled into the barracks. I'm already looking forward to the weekend, to spend more time with him. Then, another week of classes, and we head to NY. Then I gotta go 10 or so days without seeing him. I think I can survive that, though.
Okay.. Enough for now.
