3C and transparent post buttons

Pretty simple question - are there any not-transparent buttons to go in each post that I can add to this style? I had made some myself that fit the theme, but I decided that they were too cryptic (arrows), and removed them. I haven't so heavily edited a theme on LJ yet and I don't know if there is already a 'kit' to download or that I can link to for different buttons.
I am not sure why having transparent buttons that only look nice on white or near-white backgrounds was decided to be a good idea, but the best we can do now is try to work around it. I tried working with it, and changing the div's background colour to a pale pink, but it just looked hideous. I tried changing the background color to all images to a pink as well, and that made other parts look pretty dumb too.
In summary, if anyone can point me to a pack of color-appropriate images for post options, or even how to change them to text, that would be pretty neat.
