Comment Page, Sidebar Profile, Etc

I'm an LJ beginner, after finally wrapping my mind on how to customize my layout I hit a few obstacles.

1. My comment page uses Livejournal's default scheme/layout, how can I get it to use the one I use for my journal?

2. How do I make my user picture in the sidebar profile have a border and be centralized?

3. I want to use images instead of words
