sidebar background colour

Hi all, I've managed to work out a lot of the code I needed for my current layout myself, or by trawling this comm ... but one thing eludes me -

I'd like to be able to make the final sidebar box extend the full height of the table ... thus covering the background colour of the .bodyblock

The thing is, I want to do it as a css override, not a custom layer.
Anyone with ideas??
