Adding link to commentbar

This is hard to explain, but let me try the best I can. Is it possible to add a link to the comment bar that would work similiar to the permalink, but maybe show the layout in a different style? For example, it would show any entry in ?format=light, or ?s2id=numberofstylehere ?

entry comment bar, solved

You know, it occurs to me that this should be a standard LJ feature in any scheme - a button on all entries that is either ?format=light or ?style=mine (or S2id)...

They should call it the de-fugly button...

Speaking of which, would this also be applied to the f-list???

I know if you have ?style=mine selected somewhere on the profile options (unless they moved it around), anytime you click on a comment link or #comments link on anyone's journal from your friends page, it automatically shows up in ?style=mine (for which I am very grateful). I get the feeling that LJ thinks that people just use ?format=light for mobile phones and the like, but it's very useful for people who just want the text and not the extras.

Aye, but mostly I'm not bothered by other people's layouts. It's just the occasional cretinous few who have no idea about colour whatsoever and who have layouts that are just retina-burning. I don't actually like using ?style=mine unless absolutely necessary - it confuses me when I go to post something and find my handy list of LJ links are missing, usually leading to a 'WTF' moment until I realise that I'm actually poking around in someone else's journal.

I love ?format=light. So handy for reading large amounts of stuff. I have to be honest, even if I generally like someone's layout, if it is light text on dark and they post a long piece of fic, that goes straight in there. Also great when I take the laptop outside and don't get a particularly good signal.

I'd like it more if they mentioned ?format=light as an option along with ?style=mine--I'd never even heard of the former until a few months ago, and it really is easier on the eyes sometimes--especially for large blocks of text.

I saw it on the entries of one of the SGA fanfic BNFs when they posted fic. However, I couldn't recall which writer or what the code for it was until I got back online about 6 months ago.

I still have the post-it with it written on stuck to my monitor even though it is burnt into my brain now...
