Question about borders...

Currently, this is my livejournal layout. I was wondering if it's possible to make the outer border of my layout dissappear because I don't want to shrink the size of my journal any more than it already is, but I would like the header image and the border to match. Also, is there any way to make the border dashed?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
