Ne LJ Nav Menus

I'm wondering if there is a way to edit the new Nav Menu's? Just colors would be good. I don't want to alter them fundamentally but just the hideous colors that are clashing with my LJs.

I had come up with some coding on my own which worked all of a weekend and then my LJ went haywire...

I'm getting such a kick out of this comment! It's so nice to know that someone appreciates the CSS side of my layouts.

Well, then my rambling was good for something! ;) No, seriously, I remember that Jim/Molly-cherry/IOU layout (whatever it's really called) with the dropdown menu completely made of CSS. I think I literally squeed when I saw it, because that's such a clever use of CSS!
