Header Links + Sidebar question

Is it possible to add additional links to the default 4 links? (recent entries, friends, etc)
somewhat SOLVED - you can add one additional link by adding a "website" on the edit profile page.
OR is it possible to move the side bar to the top (under the header links)?
I currently have NO sidebar enabled because it makes the entries too skinny because of the header image. If I could have a few things from the sidebar (the icon, blurb and links list- only 3 or 4 links) at the top, that would be awesome. But if not, I'd like to be able to add a "tags" link with the other header links.
EDIT while I wasn't able to figure it out, I did eventually find a tutorial to make a "top bar" instead of a sidebar http://tutorialayouts.livejournal.com/3680.html Maybe that will help someone else.
