I'm fairly sure there's not a soul awake right now, but I've had this niggling trio of problem and it's really beginning to bug me.
I'm, by no means, any sort of skilled with code - but I'm learning and hope to improve. I've been trying to make my own layout thus far, from scratch (instead of just modding a pre-made one like I usually do), and it's going mostly well. However, the comments are driving me crazy. At first, they were as normal lj-comments should be, (i.e., they indented on the left and aligned on the right). For a while, I thought I wanted them to avoid indenting at all, for uniformity's sake - but decided that would make comment threads too difficult to read. Then, in my quasi-creative brilliance, I decided I wanted them to align on the left and slant-indent on the right.
1) Alas, no matter how much I mess with the code, it doesn't seem to want to work with me. I've looked back a few pages under the comment tag in this community and found people with the opposite problem (I have no idea how they managed it) but no help for my own! (sob) Can anyone help me align the comment boxes to the left and indent them on the right - without having to flip my icon-position? I know it's possible, I'm just inept and don't know how. - Solved! As for the other two problems. Quick and easy, I hope.
2) You can see the problem
here. The link that appears a bit beneath the entry. When there are no comments, it usually just reads "Post A New Comment"; you can see there what it looks like when there are comments. In any case, is there anyway (without changing the appearance of the rest of the link in the body) for me to say... change the color of those words - all of them, not just the link? Or perhaps, give them a solid background? They're nearly invisible like that and I don't know how to edit it. D: Also, is there any way to center them under the entry? They're slightly skewed to the right, I'm afraid. D:
3) Another similar problem
here. While the text down there is aligned, it's terribly close to the bottom margin of the last comment on the page. Is there any way to put some space between them? And perhaps, as with problem two, give them a background or color change?
I know this is a ton of questions at once, but... please help~? D:
Help, please?
