#header-inner { background-image: url(http://pics.livejournal.com/prongsphile/pic/0005b857); height: 115px; }I got a different box size than you did, but I found that increasing the height of #header-inner by 1px seemed to do it. I'm just not sure why it worked that way.
i have the same problem where a black line is under my header. i used your code (plus 1px) but it's still there.
also, what i really want to do is have my dotted lines connect, but there is a gap in between the header and the entries. i made the banner long enough that without moving anything, the dotted lines connect
The original Chopstick header is still showing. This is one of the annoying themes that doesn't follow the convention. Try this first: #header { background-image: none; border-bottom: none;}
