Layout width

I give.
I have read the beginners guide, followed the instructions (I think), and then added the codes to change the width of my layout. I am obviously missing something because nothing is working, no matter the size of the number I put in, nothing changes.

CSS )

page:size

Remove that first open bracket from the CSS. Also, it isn't necessary to create your own theme layer just to change the CSS.

It wasn't working before I created my own theme layer. It kept telling me there were errors.

I removed the first open bracket and nothing is changing.

That's because the code you posted in this entry isn't the code that's "active" in your journal. Go to the Customize Journal Style CSS page and you'll see that it's not the same. Just make the CSS changes there.

Apparently Expressive is not the layout for me. I'll just go back to FS, I can customize that one very easily. Thanks for trying.

Did you even go to the page I linked you to? All you have to do is delete one bracket.

Yes, I followed your instructions. And then my words stretched out of the alpha column. Since I obviously can't figure this out I figured I should stop doing something that I don't know how to do and go back to do doing something I do know how to do.

A lot of the Expressive themes use fixed-width graphics, meaning they won't look right unless you edit the images to make them wider. But suit yourself.
