Custom Sidebar Text

Hi, I searched the tutorials (which are super helpful, btw :) ) but I couldn't find an answer to how I can customize the text on my sidebar. In my last layout style I was able to do that right in "Customize Journal Style", but the options aren't there this time. I would like to label the bars that say "Profile, Latest Month, Tags, Links, and Page ( Read more... )

Thanks very much! Unfortunately, you can't change the titles of the sidebar modules in Expressive through the Customize pages; it's just one of the features that never got built into the layout. These days the developers are trying to fix so many things that it's hard to get anyone's attention for things like layout improvements, so I don't hold out much hope in trying to get patches submitted.

Anyway, back to you. ;) You can the titles, but you have to use a theme layer to do it. It's also a bit of a hack: you have to override the names that are hard-coded in the prop_init() function. Someone was able to do it in a previous post.

Hi, did you get an answer to this? This is my same question here.

Quiet has crept over this site. . .

Thanks.

Hello!

You have to use a theme layer to do it. I am not sure of the codes or anything though. Every time I futz with a theme layer my page goes wonky so I ended up just picking a different layout and going with bloggish.

I hope you have better luck getting it worked out :)
