Image in Foreground of Header

Is there any way of placing an image directly into the header without using image-replacement methods?
To do this, would I need to create an entirely new style? And if so, how would I go about making it exactly the same as Bloggish just with a spot to add an image into the header?

Explain what you mean by image replacement methods. Using a background image for the #banner in the CSS custom stylesheet is the easiest way to have a header image.

Image replacement: Replacing text with an image. Various methods available, a common version is setting the background image and indenting the text off screen.

However, then comes along the user that has CSS enabled but images disabled, then they get nothing.

I worked it out: I created a theme layer and over-rided the print-banner function, to include an image I have stored in my Livejournal scrap book.

Thanks anyway!:)

Wouldn't the user see nothing for the header image regardless of the method you use if they have images disabled?

They should see the value of the alt attribute for the image, which browsers should display instead.
