Getting excited about Ohio. It'll be really nice to see friends that I haven't seen in YEARS! And, to be honest, it'll be nice to have a change of scenery for a while. Though I'm not too crazy about spending time with crazy relatives (who shall remain unnamed), I'm trying to stay optimistic about this 8-day trip to Ohio.

Welcome back, smeesmarbles! It was awesome to see you on Friday when you flew in. Hopefully arriving home only to find ALL of us sitting in your living room wasn't TOO overwhelming. It's nice to know that everyone is back at home and things are starting to get back to normal around here. =P
Work
Still looking for work, and that's OK. I'm having a really hard time adjusting to having nothing to do and playing the waiting game with potential employers. I'm starting to realize that this search could be long, and I just need to deal with it. Maybe I'll get a dinky part-time job to keep me occupied? It would also help my wallet out. I might pick up a freelance project with ehart8283's work, which would allow me to create yet another portfolio piece. But this time, it'd be a professional (and NOT academic) one! I'm also teaching myself JavaScript, and may dabble in some PHP if I have the patience to do so. Right now, I'm just focusing on finding some activities that will keep my brain happy and also help out my very sad little resume. Ooh, and I also have an interview with a consulting company for usability positions. It's a drop in the bucket, but drops are at least some progress towards filling the bucket. This whole experience has taught me patience. A great deal of patience.
