It's funny you brought this up - I have been thinking about this because my doctor asked, "So, what kind of birth control are you thinking about using after you have the baby?" WHAT? Okay, first of all, I am probably not the world's most fertile woman. :) Not that I have infertility issues either, obviously, but some people can pop out a kid a year, whereas there was no possible way I could have given birth to another kid after Isaac any sooner than 2 years 3 months later. (My period didn't start back up until he was 18 months :))But, that aside, I thought, wow, why would they ask everyone that? To her credit, I think she took my hint about "I definitely would never take the pill - I'm not really an artificial hormones sort of person" and my lack of interest in other methods and she hasn't brought it up again.
Unfortunately I have a husband who thinks birth control is okay, so he has mentioned it too, although he knows I won't ever take a pill. But this is one place where I am kind of glad there is such as thing as "choice" for women. It is my body and I really don't feel like modifying what is working perfectly fine in any way to humor anyone else. So I'm not going to. Yeah, we can use natural family planning. It has always worked for me - now I just need to work on making it more of a mutual thing so Henri feels a little more in control I think :)
That's my non-philosophical viewpoint. I'm not so good at that line of logical thinking :) But yours made sense!
