If you're talking about fb I hope there wasn't any misunderstanding. I've never thought you were a homophobe (and most of the "you's" I used were general yous - not you as in you, Sarah Langer but I was typing from my ipod so it was hard to go back and edit things to make them sound clear XD) or that you'd think a boy that wears pink is gay.

If you're talking about someone else :( that stinks. I'd hate to be called something that I'm not and then have trouble defending it because of other aspects about me (ie- I can totally see how a lot of people would have difficulty believing it's impossible to be Catholic and tolerant and NOT homophobic. Or to *not* favor homosexuality and *not* be homophobic at the same time). But I have been :/. I've even been called gay. Imagine how awkward and difficult it is to be simultaneously pro-gay but to take offense at being called gay!

I think the sad truth is there's fanatical people on both sides... "GOD HATES FAGS (AND PRO-GAYS) SO YOU'RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL" and "YOU'RE A HYPOCRITE AND A HOMOPHOBE BECAUSE YOU'RE AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE!" giving off bad impressions and inaccurate representations of the variety of beliefs and view that exist... making it hard to get along and not immediately jump on people.

It's mailing -who- did the calling, why they did it, and how they did it, and the impact it had on my personal relationships/the way people treated me. It was more of the situation and my own belief in being the one to define my identity, which I define neither as gay or straight, rather than the actual reality of homosexuality.
